Description

Therapeer: A private emotional support group focused on helping YOU.
Support others emotionally and improve your own emotional well-being.

Get private peer support coping with marriage problems, divorce, depression, anxiety, and other matters related to your emotional well-being.

WHAT'S THERAPEER?
• As a PEER you can help other community members seeking emotional support via private group chat.
• As a HOST you can open your own private Support Room, where 3 experienced Peers will join and focus solely on supporting you in your time of need.
• Earn kudos when providing support as a Peer, to use towards your very own private Support Room, FREE OF CHARGE.
• Therapeer is completely ANONYMOUS. You are never asked for your real name and we’ll never disclose your personal information.
• A variety of topics to choose from, including Marriage Problems, Divorce, Depression, Anxiety, and many more.

WHY USE THERAPEER?
You're not alone: Everyone faces emotional issues from time to time. Research shows that sharing your experiences with others can be highly therapeutic for both you and the listener. Using Therapeer and participating in private support sessions provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, and to gain a sense of community and empowerment.
Yes, you can go to therapy - but time and place are rigid and it can be so expensive. We get it.
Yes, you can share your issues with your friends, but they don’t always have the time, energy, or ability to answer your emotional needs. We get that, too.
Yes, social network groups and in-person support groups can help, but there's no anonymity. There are certain issues you don’t want the whole world to know about. We TOTALLY get that.
But most of all: Other support group formats aren't focused on solving just one issue - everyone shares the stage. And there's no guarantee that anyone will even respond. Sometimes, you just want the focus to be on YOU.

We get all of that. We get YOU.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
• Provide other community members with emotional support as a Peer. By doing so, it will help you deal with your own challenges in a broader perspective and will make you feel better by knowing you helped others in need.
• Already gained the gratification of helping others? Go ahead and create your very own support room (or, if you don't want to wait, we offer the option to purchase a credit to open your room immediately).
• After your private anonymous Support Room is opened, we match you with other Therapeer community members who have struggled with something similar to what you're experiencing. Peer assignment is based on your personal preferences and on the topic being discussed.

Join Therapeer today! Transform your struggles into strength, support people in need, and improve your own emotional well-being.

Amazing

It has been a really long time since I used this app and I am finally ready to share my experience with it. I used it during a really dark time in my life when I wasn’t ready (both financially and emotionally) to reach out to an actual therapist. This app is definitely not a cure all but it really helped me just to be able to openly and anonymously talk to other people who had been in my shows before and could just listen and share their experiences. It really felt like a safe space where I could pour my heart out and the people on the other side were actually listening and really cared about me. This is not a substitute for actual therapy, but it it a start for whomever is not ready to make that step yet or simply can’t afford it. Thank you to the people that made this possible and to the people willing to contribute and help those who need it.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Therapeer: Peer Support Groups! We are thrilled to hear that our app was able to provide you with a safe space to open up and connect with others who have gone through similar experiences. We understand that seeking therapy can be a big step, both financially and emotionally, and we are glad that Therapeer was able to offer you a starting point. While it's important to note that our app isn't a substitute for professional therapy, we are dedicated to providing a supportive community for those who may not be ready or able to access traditional therapy. We appreciate your kind words and thank you for being a part of our community.

Thanks

I didn’t find the app useful. At first I liked it but now I don’t. I will be deleting my account. I would recommend those who try it use therapist primarily. And use this app as a secondary option. I felt like some of the moss bent the rules. I never understood the rules fully and people were mean and judgmental to me some of them. Please be careful. I met some nice people. You guys need to be more on community and rules. I feel like I am breaking rules and that’s not fair. I joined a room and peer was a male. He kept asking me how he could get hooked up with a cute girl. He tried to get my contact info because he wanted to do business with me. I told him I couldn’t help him I knew nothing about business. The moderator in the room didn’t say anything. The whole thing was just weird I felt like a piece of meat. Several other people hit on me. I was just being nice and supportive. One room I joined nobody helped the host I was the only one. This triggered a major ptsd episode and brought back memories I don’t want to think about. There needs to be a moderator in every room. I almost had a bad relapse. Please be careful if you join this app. Make sure you have a therapist. I did meet some kind people.

What an awesome concept!

I can't believe I just now found this app. The whole idea of helping myself by helping others while being able to ask help from others as well is a great idea. Sometimes it's nice to have an impartial group of peers going through similar situations to chat with. This app is just the ticket.

A while back I tried some others, even posted on subreddits that were supposed to be a similar concept, but found constant criticism regardless of if I was asking for help or trying to give it.

I'm sure I'm not perfect at this whole giving help thing, but if someone just needs an ear to listen and to help process issues, this app is awesome.
