Exactly What I Wanted
I rarely leave reviews for apps- even the ones I like and use all the time. But rarely does an app leave me so impressed as this one has. So I had to leave a review!
As a homeschooling family, one of our state requirements is to keep a list of all reading material we use throughout the school year. I thought about just saving all my library receipts- but let’s face it- who can keep track of those little pieces of paper. So I thought I would start a spreadsheet. But it was going to be time consuming. If only there was an app that I could just scan the book and it would upload all the info! Well- this is it. But the customizable book shelves let’s me separate per child. It lets me record start and end date of the book. It lets me add multiple times reading the book. I can review the book in my library to know whether or not it’s a book we liked or didn’t like. And best of all. Any time I want, I can export to a csv file and have that spreadsheet right at my fingertips!!!

The App I’ve Been Searching For
A few months ago, I downloaded five or six different apps all for the purpose of helping me organize my reading. I wanted to sort books by 1) what I was currently reading, 2) what I intended to read soon, 3) books I’d read in the recent past, and 3) a backlog of books, mostly nonfiction, that I found interesting or helpful in some way. I also wanted to sort material by either fiction or nonfiction, and I wanted an app that was easy and intuitive to use, that would allow me flexibility in how I catalogued my reading. Within a week, I deleted all the other apps I downloaded, except for this one. This one was the obvious keeper. Checked every box. I’ll be using it for years, maybe forever, as long as it remains free. Awesome app. (Side note: If I ever streamline my phone and delete all my extraneous, time-wasting apps, I will not be deleting this one.)

Love batch scan, tagging, privacy protection - also a few suggestions
I love this app - particularly the display, ability to sort by tag, batch ISBN scanning, and how it doesn’t collect unnecessary personal data. After looking into alternatives, I’m glad I chose it and I definitely recommend it.
I have a few suggestions for future updates. First, I have specialized genres that aren’t included in the auto-assigned categories, so i set my genres by tagging - it is slow and I would like to be able to select a bunch of books and then assign them the same tag. I also wish that when a book doesn’t have an ISBN barcode, I wish I could put in the ISBN manually and the app would search for the book, rather than manually inputting all the data and taking a photo of the cover (which is honestly more effort than I do, but would be nice to have the cover). Finally, it would be great to have a web-based version, because I could manually input books without ISBN barcodes faster on my computer than my phone.
