Thanks to advances in AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, computers are surpassing human efficiency. The good news is that you now have access to that same speed and accuracy. CaptionMate removes the need for a CA (Captioning Assistant) or Transcriptionist on your call, giving you the freedom of functional equivalence that you deserve. Speak freely and openly to your friends and loved ones without that awkward third-party operator on the line.
Keep your original number with CaptionMate. Upon completing registration (the information provided is required by the FCC and is used only to prevent fraudulent usage of CaptionMate) and by turning on call forwarding in the app and with your provider, you can keep your number so no one even needs to know you are using captioning, unless you want to tell them!
FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund.

Latet deafened, I have good speech, but zero hearing. I have been looking for a means to use a telephone, and I’ve tried a couple of providers for landlines and a couple of different apps for my cell. I downloaded CaptionMate several months ago and find it works remarkably well, when it works properly. Every so often, the program glitches, and I cannot get to the CaptionMate calling screen. After a couple of attempts, the problem seems to sort itself out, and it is not really very frequent. Overall, this is the best captioning app I have found after several attempts and multiple discussions with other users. The accuracy is quite good, and transcriptions are saved to your phone if you want, including both sides of the conversation.
CaptionMate is absolutely wonderful
I have nothing but good things to say about CaptionMate. The technology is really good. The speed of answer is blazingly fast every single time. There is no delay waiting for a live captioner, because there are no live captioners. The customer service is the best that I have ever experienced with a relay provider, and I have had accounts with IP relay, caption relay, and video relay service providers. I love the fact that I can reach them for technical support via phone or email. The accuracy is not perfect all the time, but CaptionMate is doing really well considering there are no live captioners. I don’t know how they manage to do all this. If I could give them ten stars I would.

Caption Mate the best
Unfortunately with hearing loss, listening can be a challenge. Caption Mate is truly a “godsend” in assisting those with hearing loss to communicate effectively on the phone. Not only do you see the other person’s text in one color, you see your comments as well in a different color. Caption Mate support services are super, easily accessed online or by phone. Caption Mate support service is totally focused on making their service available to those with hearing loss. Excellent all around.
