IT WORKS LIKE MAGIC

There are millions of setting combinations when converting images into patterns. It can be difficult and overwhelming. That’s why we built the wizard tool. Effortlessly choose the best settings for your image and see the results instantly.

TRACE OVER IMAGES

When drawing your own designs, you can show an image in the background. This can be super helpful as a reference to trace over. You can also show the original image after converting a photo, which makes tidying up your patterns even easier.

MAKE YOUR MASTERPIECE

Once your pattern is finished and you’re ready to get stitching, simply press play. You can then view your pattern in sections, mark individual stitches as completed and track your progress.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING...

"I can’t overstate my love for Stitchly. Every time I don’t see it on a top 10 softwares for cross stitch I’m shook. I‘ve been making and selling patterns for 5 years and have tried 3 other programs but Stitchly’s aesthetics, simplicity, and constant feature updates make it my number one favorite of all time." - By Nic806 on the App Store

"This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I had been eyeing a few desktop apps but this app provides all the features I need in a cheaper, convenient, portable app- even better! I love how easy it is to make patterns and export them, even including the number of skeins needed in the export is so helpful." - By reydiant on the App Store

"The best app for anyone that likes cross stitch. I’ve saved so much money on buying patterns and it’s also so much fun to be able to design my own. Love it. I never spend money on apps but this one was definitely worth it." - By TJ_172940 on the App Store

Very Impressed So Far

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now, and I’ve been very impressed with it so far. It’s easy to use and the few patterns I’ve generated so far seem to be working out really well just through the app’s own photo conversion. I’m not a print things out kind of guy, so I really like the completed stitch tracking you can do directly in the app. One wish I do have is grid numbering along the top/bottom/sides for easier stitch counting/tracking, but the way it’s set up now still works great.

I also applaud the absolutely stellar customer support by the developer. My big pattern I was working started crashing my app whenever I tried to open, so I couldn’t export or do anything with it to continue the pattern. I sent feedback via the app to the dev (Harry) and he responded within hours, then sent an update through Apple so I could submit the pattern to him directly through the app, and then he pushed another update out shortly thereafter fixing my issue, all while being tremendously polite and helpful. Judging by the responses to reviews here it looks like the dev is listening and constantly working to improve the app!

Very pleased with purchasing the full version!

Love this app

I have been using this app for about a year now and it just keeps getting better. I like the flexibility of switching colors, symbols, swapping out background photos. I love how many different stitches it offers you. I love that it has all the different brand thread palates.
Could be improved- For the Convert a photo settings- be careful of your lighting of your photos. You might need to do some photoshop editing to brighten up photos before Import. Sometimes the chosen colors come out darker than I would like. Sometimes when I import an image, I have to tweak it a lot after using the internal conversion tools.
So I prefer to just draw it from an image myself. The draw it yourself option is so easy to use and you can move and resize your background image. I am constantly using the cut and copy tools, especially if I decide to expand my pattern on one edge. You can easily trace and move the entire image over and keep working.

Simple, powerful, great support

I’ve made several patterns with Stitchly thus far. I’m still relatively new to cross stitching, so I can’t compare it to lots of other xstitch programs, but it has served its purpose well. I’ve been using art/design/quilting software for decades and Stitchly is one of the most user-friendly apps I’ve used. It doesn’t overcomplicate things. It’s so relaxing to chill on the couch and create patterns even if I end up not stitching them. Recently, the dev released a version that changed the way the paint brush tool works. It was a great change for iPhone users, but not iPad users. I wrote to them about the “bug” only to learn it was a feature. They listened to my feedback and immediately rolled back the update until they revisit its implementation. Seriously awesome dev. The kind I want to give my money to. A few suggestions (nice to have but not necessary): a tool to draw basic shapes + bezier curves and more fonts or the ability to import fonts.
