Broken Yolk Cafe 4+

My husband and I have been visiting the numerous breakfast spots which are opening near us. Or karat stop was at The Broken Yolk on Saint Rose Parkway in Henderson, NV. We were surprised to find a full parking lot, which was a good sign, because as I recall only one or two other businesses were open. Inside was bustling, however we were warmly greeted and seated right away. My husband noted that they had a full working staff, which we have found not to be common in many new restaurants, post pandemic.
We had the good fortune of being seated at Mr. T's table. T is very young, energetics, personable, and delightful. The fact that we are all from the California Bay Area, endeared him to us even more.
I ordered chicken and waffles. There were three pieces of very tasty fried chicken, with just the right amount of crispness. The waffle was slightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, just as I ordered. My husband enjoyed his sausage, eggs, blueberry muffin, and potatoes and commented that the coffee was great. We could not believe how quickly our orders arrived. We also liked the fact that you could pay right at the table without your card being taken away.
We will definitely be returning and bringing friends here for breakfast. The only downer is that Mr. T will be leaving this neighborhood location to open another Boken Yolk in Vegas😟 But our loss is their gain!

My husband and I were very surprised how busy a Friday morning was, but from the moment we sat we were greeted with happiness from Jennifer. As busy as it was, Jennifer was most tentative and courteous with her service. She spoke with joy and it brought us some smiles to start the day.
We enjoyed our food and was blessed with a complimentary Island Toast by the manager Sarah. Sarah proceeded to make us feel welcomed and at home.
I’m usually not an app review kind of person, but I couldn’t let this opportunity pass by without giving applause where it’s deserved.

The food here is great. So much so the demand is quite high. No complaints on the grub for sure! But the app is terrible. It is non intuitive to start or check on the status of an order. In fact there are two streams to begin an order….which may seem great, but when you are expecting a delivery and the other lane resets to the default pick-up, it is quite aggravating. Call me lazy, but I don’t like having to go to 3 different spots on an app to find out, I cannot cancel my order, it us not being delivered, and I have to stop what I am doing, change clothes to go pick up cold food. I have been bitten twice now by this massive glitch. Make sure you start on the order choice yo insure your setting that was deliver is on delivery (it won’t be!). Shame on me if this happens a third time!
