Life Saver is a highly configurable, artistic implementation of Conway's Game of Life. Pleasing colors and shapes will play across your television screen, all generated by a simple artificial life algorithm.
Life Saver has several settings, and experimenting with them will lead to interesting and inspiring results. Whether you're in the mood for some gently shifting color patterns while you relax on the sofa, or a trippy psychedelic acid wash of moving tie dye while you rock out to Pink Floyd, you'll be able to set up something you like.
Life Saver can be an educational tool, for introducing students to cellular automata, and showing them how mathematics can be more than just numbers. Life Saver is also open source, so you can pull up the source code to see how it all works and make changes to it yourself.
