It’ll take some time

Overall it seems like it will work nicely. It is different and so there will be many people who don’t like it just because of that. I appreciate DCECUs effort in trying to make the app better. This app appears to allow you to personalize it more to how you want it. That could not be done with the old app. Regardless of what kind of changes were made, many people wouldn’t like it because it’s not what they are familiar with. Give it some time before give it a bad review just because you don’t know how to use it right away and it’s not as easy as the previous app that you’ve been using for the past decade.

Does everyone understand that you can set the display up how you want. If you want to see your auto payments first, you can. If you want to see your accounts first, you can. It is up to you how many swipes or clicks you have to do. This improved app gives you more choices. Is that the problem?

Update: it’s just sad that people don’t understand they can do so much more with this version than the previous app. You can customize this app anyway you want and so you can make it pretty close to how the old app was. They could use some work with the check deposit but I’m not going to take a star off because everyone else is taking stars off because they can’t figure out an easy app. There’s a few other things they do need to work on but overall, it’s a 4 star app.

Great Service

I’ve been a member since 1974. While employed in Midland, help with transactions etc was always fantastic. Since moving to North Michigan in 2014 all my transactions have been by phone or using the DCECU APP. Over the last year as we rebuilt our home and needed accessibility to funds being deposited by our insurance company, the process has been seamless. DCECU and all their staff have been extremely helpful. Thanks!

I’m not too sure about this: update -1

I appreciate the effort to try something new. But in this case I feel as if they shouldn’t have changed the straightforward single page app they used to have. Too many clicks and taps to get anywhere, accounts don’t have names when doing transfers. Loans and other items don’t have the due date on them, you have to click on it and scroll to check, it also doesn’t have the payment amount up front. When you make a payment it fills the amount for you. Overall it’s overthought and too crowded. Too many options pages and taps. Frankly I don’t like It and wish we still had the older one.

Update:
I don’t know how long it’s been now that I’ve had the app, but my opinion has not improved. As a younger person who grew up with tech in my hand, I thought using the app and working with it would make it easier to use. I was wrong. I’m still frustrated and irritated with how difficult even the simplest tasks are. It has a very user unfriendly interface, there’s just too much! All I want to see are my account balances, transfers and due dates, I don’t want to see “similar transactions” and such. Just be simple. I hope they didn’t pay too much to have the app made. I’d be demanding my money back.
