Description

Haaze 2 is a 16 band stereo widening tool that utilizes three different methods of controlling the stereo width and spatial positioning of an audio stream:

• Haas – adds a small delay to the left or right audio channel, creating the perceived effect of the sound arriving from the side that’s reaching the ear first.

• Pan – alters the gain level on either audio channel. All 16 bands can be panned separately, so this method is quite equal to the “split EQ” function often found on various well-rounded equalizers.

• MS Stereo – controls the output stereo width on each band, from normal stereo signal to mono.

There’s also a view for controlling the output gain of all bands separately.

New features from version 2.0 and later:

• New and more transparent crossover filters
• Haas: Better control for each band
• Split EQ is now called "PAN" and provides much more control
• MS Stereo
• Gain
• Visualization
• Brand new and more intuitive UI for a better work flow.
• Several factory presets.

This widening sound you can get out of Haaze 2 in your mix is fabulous! It’s a must have for professionals!

Gitarzz ,

It works, just not for what I want it for.

I was a huge fan of the first version of this app. One of the problems with recording guitar amps is you’re just getting sound from a spot on the speaker. Even if you add in a second mic it sounds lifeless. It doesn’t sound like the amp when you’re standing right there in front of it and that’s because you’re hearing it with two ears and getting reflections around the room so it sounds stereo to you. That was one of the things I used this for. It took a mono signal and gave it some stereo spread. Now this new version does do that but it just doesn’t sound the same. They didn’t include into this the classic controls so I’m stuck with all these sliders that are pushing frequencies different directions and it ends up sounding unnatural or unbalanced. I hate this thing. The only reason I’m giving it three stars is because it’ll likely work for you just fine. It’s just my particular situation it gives me nothing but problems that weren’t there in the first version. Klevgrand, please add in the classic waveform control from the first one or reissue the first one for people like me, who still prefer it. I used that on every single recording I’ve made on the iPad and I’d really like it back please.
