Description
Analyzes a desktop browser's exported bookmarks HTML file for invalid URLs. The resultant invalid bookmarks HTML file, annotated with reason-invalid messages, is used to manually correct the browser’s bookmarks. At any time, the bookmarks file and the invalid bookmarks result file can be inspected. The in-progress validation process can be aborted.

Note: Browser bookmarks files need to be placed in a "Bookmarks Validator" folder. On an iOS device, this folder resides in the Documents folder. On a macOS device, this folder resides in the Downloads folder. On iCloud, it resides in the iCloud Drive. The User's Guide provides instructions on how to set this up.
What’s New
Version 3.2.0
1. Compatible with macOS 14+.
2. Fixed crash bug: Local file URLs (they start with file://) cause the app to crash. Now a message is output stating the URL is ignored with the file URL.
3. Twitter URLs get redirected to X causing them to fail: "400 Bad Request". However, they most likely are valid URLs.
4. If a URL's server fails to respond in a reasonable amount of time, a time out status code is reported. The URL should be manually verified as being valid or not.
5. If the URL server does not return a response, the status code will be -1000+, for example,
-1001 "The request timed out.";
-1003 "A server with the specified hostname could not be found.";
-1004 "Could not connect to the server." and
-1007 "too many HTTP redirects".
