Description

HeyClock is designed to help manage time-blindness and serve as an audible reminder system.

• Speaks the time out loud, along with an optional custom message

• Set routine alarms (repeat regularly on certain days of the week) or temporary alarms (activate once and then disappear, for one-time events).

• Alarms can be single (alarm sounds once) or interval (alarm sounds at regular intervals within a time window).

• Works from the background. Alarms will sound even if your phone is locked or another app is in use, as long as HeyClock is open on your phone.

• Choose notification style: voice, voice and notification, or notification only.

• Choose which voice HeyClock uses for alarms

• HeyClock monitors the time by checking GPS timestamps from your phone’s Location Services.
There are two GPS options:
- Regular GPS Pings: Checks GPS timestamps about once every 15 seconds to five minutes, depending on the amount of time until the next alarm.
- GPS Low Power: Alarms will only activate if you are near a Home Location. Set up to three different Home Locations.
Use this mode to conserve battery power, or if you do not want alarms to go off when you are out and about.

To try out the app before committing to the purchase, check out HeyClock Lite on the app store, which works the same way but has fewer customization options and can store only two routines at a time.

What’s New

Version 1.3

Fixed a bug where changing an interval alarm to a single alarm and then modifying the start time could result in the alarm going off on an additional day.Added a link to the FAQ on the settings page.

Almost great

I’ve tried several alarm apps and this one had all of the best features I wanted, the concept itself is fantastic. It has to be running in order to work, however, which is a unfortunately a dealbreaker. Between my kids grabbing my phone and quitting apps, or forgetting in the hectic evening rush to make sure that it’s all set up, running and left open, this app is sadly not reliable enough to be my go-to. The idea is great, and does work, but requiring that kind of daily attention from someone who’s already combatting time blindness is not a great fit.

VERY helpful for ADD

I helped beta test this app for a couple months and it has helped me so much with my struggle of losing track of time. My most important alarm is the one that tells me to leave for work. Before I started using HeyClock, I would constantly lose track of time playing games on my phone or doing chores before work and as a result of that, I was very frequently late to work.
Now, with the help of having my phone actually telling me the time verbally and also telling me it’s time to go to work, I’ve been able to consistently make it to work on time!
I’ve also been able to set routine alarms up for household chores that don’t necessarily need to be done every day. I typically forget or get distracted and have a terrible time getting household chores done, but having my phone verbally remind me “hey go do the laundry” and stuff like that is helping me make better habits for myself.
There’s something about actually being verbally told the time and what my task or reminder is that has helped me more than just using the standard phone alarms and reminders.

Life changing

I have always struggled with attention deficit disorder. This app has changed my life. It's helped me throughout my work day. It is too easy to ignore a timer or a regular alarm. The fact that you can use this app to set voice reminders is what makes it so good. It's helped me establish routines and made my hectic work day very manageable. Best $2 I ever spent. My boss even loves how much my work has improved since getting this app. Yes you have to keep it running in the background due to APPLE'S security restrictions. That's not the app developer's fault. That's apple's fault. I just keep my kid off my phone and a lock screen.
