Few issues

App can't be viewed in landscape which I would like to do on row erg. Device comes with $10 strap that pops off and stops recording. Cool part about that is the app doesn't tell you. When you go to view the ecg tracing it's garbage from the time the little popper connection loosens. And no, you cannot necessarily tell one connection loosened. Device will not connect with PM5 on C2 row erg although it seems to come close. Feel like problem there may be the PM5. Even if it did you can only connect device to 1 Bluetooth thing. You would have to choose rower or phone. So if you want to know your heart rate you have to turn your head on its side.

Edit: it does work in landscape now. I almost never get poor signal quality now positioning device slightly left of center. You connect it to PM5 by starting the activity. Then download the data to the app. Cool device cool app

Developer Response ,

This is to bring to your notice, that we've added an update to the app and it now supports landscape mode, thanks for your feedback!

With respect to your PM5, we can help you with that as well over a video call (https://4fsupport.paperform.co)

The strap issue should definitely not occur - please reach out to us at support@fourthfrontier.com and we'll immediately send a replacement over. If there's any other issues, you can reach out to us on the same email :)

Confidence

When you are in heart failure and experience being monitored for stress while walking at 1 mph by 3 technicians and gadgets hooked to every part of your body, it’s natural to feel a little apprehensive walking on your treadmill at home,…alone! Not until I got the Frontier did I have the confidence to work harder by knowing and learning my boundaries quickly. Breath rate, heart strain, workload, pulse, all in real time while you move, or bend, or lift. This should be a required device for recovering heart failure patients. I wish I had one 2.5 years ago! Good technicals but needs LOTS of work on user interface

UPDATE- I finally got the app to offer me an option to sign up, but it took a few tries. In use the app works well on my iPhone 12 Max Pro, but the biggest peeve is that the numbers for heart rate, distance, etc. are very hard to read on the phone while exercising. THERE IS AN IN-DEPTH REVIEW of the sensor and app at www dot pjfiguresitout dot com. ORIGINAL REVIEW— I spent $250 on this cardiac monitor and I expected a lot. I should have suspected something when the quick start instructions don’t mention downloading the app before telling the user to connect the device to it. What, they expect the app to magically appear on your phone? So I download the app. The app tells me to sign in. THERE IS NO OPTION FOR CREATING A NEW ACCOUNT!!! I even went to the site with my browser, still no option for create new account. For Pete’s sake, people, get some actual professional project managers working on this!
