Could be improved

This app works well with my Widex Moment 440 hearing aids.
Pros: The app is responsive and reliable, something that is more unusual than it should be with the other hearing aid apps that I’ve used over the years. The app is geolocation aware, so if you have a preset/favorite set for home, it will change to that preset as you are approaching your home from elsewhere. The interface for creating presets/favorites is pretty good with the customization process.
Cons:
This app seems to have been designed by people who have not used it with hearing aids for more than a few minutes of functional testing. Your favorite/preset icons cannot be moved visually so that they would be the first thing you see. You have to scroll horizontally until you locate it; with time users develop and refine presets and strangely for these you have to keep scrolling to locate them.
The equalizer only has three adjustment points. For a hearing aid that is highly regarded as a musician’s brand, this limitation is just wrong. Again, it is as if the app designers don’t really understand the product their app is supporting or their users. For the money all of us have paid for the aids, I am disappointed.

Bad Kitty ,

Gets confused with my Tesla

Because it is a REQUIREMENT for your phone to be connected to a Tesla because it is your car key, I can’t keep turning off bluetooth and turning it back on. But while driving my car, and I cannot use the app to turn down the volume. I had to purchase the separate remote to turn down the volume while I’m driving. None of my other bluetooth headphones have this problem, so why are these hearing aids so limited? Also, I have an Apple Watch, and even though I downloaded the Widex app, I CANNOT control the hearing aids with my watch alone. The PHONE has to be connected to the hearing aids, then the watch can control the hearing aids, but if your phone is DEAD, the app on the watch doesn’t work, even though I have a cellular connection on my watch. Not happy with the app…and why am I required to go to my audiologist to load sounds??? I really hate these sounds, and I ended up with these HUGE hearing aids so I can use MyNoise, an app that works well. You need more options for tones, and allow ME as the user to be able to switch and load as needed. I live an hour and a half from my audiologist, and the fact that I have to set up an appointment and drive three hours round trip when a tone doesn’t work is really crappy. I’m in the early stages of trying to work through this, and in a noisy office I can’t tell what tones MIGHT work. But none of your tones have helped at all…you need more options, with an equalizer function that USERS can change.

Update- new version fixed all the issues. Hearing aids great; app horrible

Update- the new version July 2021 fixed the issues. Widex was slow to update the app until this time. Glad to see a quick response. I’m sure OS changes are hard to keep up with, but a quick response and update is appreciated.

Changing from 1 star to 5

With the cost of hearing aids, you'd think they would develop a good app. This app makes the hearing aids unusable. The app developer should wear the hearing aids and the problem wouldn't take long to appear. They did fix the very loud clicking sound when switching on/off streaming. But now they disconnect all day long. Sometimes not reconnecting. Happens even while on the phone and I have to end the call. So embarrassing. Music program makes listening enjoyable again, but streaming music is extremely bad. Sounds like you're riding in a tunnel. Wish I could override it and set to non streaming music. It's like they don't test the app. Perfect hearing aids turned unusable via the app. I would volunteer to help test if needed. It seems like that's what's missing. If these don't improve, I'm trying another brand, which is sad as the hearing aids are so great. I'll send feedback to their website too as it doesn't appear they look here.
