Today, over 2 billion people suffer from visual impairments due to the lack of accessibility of affordable and accurate medical diagnosis, as well as lack of awareness about the issue.

OcularCheck is a powerful mobile tool to improve the accessibility of healthcare by empowering individuals and communities to be able to accurately check their vision for free, for signs of myopia and other visual impairments. The app has been developed for use in underserved/rural areas of the world, including features such as: diagnostic accuracy, no internet requirement, auditory guides, high device compatibility, and multilingual optotypes, and more. This aspect allows it to play a unique role in the international public health community.

Nice app and easy to use

Nice app! Very easy to use. It has different eye charts. The instructions are clear and easy to follow but wish they would not repeat every time you want to check your acuity. Also wish there was an option to check your vision at arm’s length so that you can check it by holding out a cell phone. Keep up the good work and thank you!

Has potential

This is an ok app for two people. As the font grows smaller, the line of text grows longer, necessitating the helper keep track of how many letters are misread. This would be so much easier to use if a maximum of two or three letters were on each line, no matter how small the letters.

Easy to use and makes eye check ups more accessible

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your feedback! Making eye checkups more accessible was the primary reason I developed the app - I'm glad it was able to help you. Thank you so much.
