Description

Looking to get a strong, lean body without spending countless hours doing exercises in the gym? A strong, toned body doesn’t always have to come from lifting weights. You can just as easily get a greatfull body strength workout at home with just your yoga mat and a Pilates routine. Pilates not only tightens and tones your muscles, it also strengthens your body and increases your core flexibility. It involves workouts with precise moves and specific breathing techniques.

The best moves were selected because of the way the moves incorporate your entire body, engage your muscles, and promote good posture and alignment.

This set of Pilates exercises is designed to provide you with an at-home routine and help you build familiarity with Pilates mat exercises, whether you are new or experienced. These exercises develop the core strength, stability, and flexibility for which Pilates is famous.

The muscular focus for each exercise is noted so you can target your routine. Please keep in mind that almost all Pilates exercises engage the core abdominal muscles.

Has potential

This app has great potential. There are, however, several flaws.
-There is no sound. No music, no voice to say the next exercise or how to perform it. Not even a beep to let you know when to begin or end.
-The rest time is supposed to be adjustable, yet when I change it to less than 30 seconds, it always remains at 30 seconds.
-During each rest, the screen shows what the next exercise is. There is a glitch that it will say which side an exercise is to be done on one rest early. So if the next exercise is half downs, it may say left side, when side leg raises is next after half downs.

Agreed - Has Potential

Pros: As long as you are an experienced in Pilates, the exercises are easy and spot on. I like the different levels. All around good app.

Cons: The start/finish of each exercise. Someone yelling “go, go, go!” And then an obnoxious whistle to let you know when you’re done ... and there is no way to mute it. It’s awful. Awful enough to make me move on to another app. Fix that stuff and I’ll come back.

Flexible options, but needs sound

I didn’t realize how important it is to have sounds. Without it, you have to stay glued to your phone. It’s really hard to do the exercises AND stare at your phone for the countdown timer. The “vibrate” option only works for when the exercise starts, not stops. Also, it would be nice to have an optional explanation of how to do the movement properly. If you don’t already know how to do them, this is not the app for you.
