Description
iSim Vent allows the instant integration of a ventilator into your training and simulation curriculum. Use it either as a stand alone simulator, or as a part of your existing iSimulate simulation setup as a stand-alone component complimenting your existing defibrillator or hospital monitor devices.
Test your students ability to set correct initial ventilator settings and adjust appropriately throughout care, with the ability to choose breath mode and types, adjust PEEP, tidal volume and pressure settings with instant and true to life feedback from the ventilator.
Teach your students in-depth functional operation of a popular patient transport ventilator, including the 'choose, change, confirm' and 'select, arm, run' procedures.
The use of this application is for training purposes only by appropriate educators. It is not a substitute for professional judgement in specific circumstances and does not constitute medical advice.

Ratings and Reviews
still doesn’t resolve issue
Previously rated and reviewed app. Was told that the long tone after shutting off the vent would go away by hitting the reset/silence button would resolve issue. Nope sure as heck doesn’t. The annoying tone does not stop unless you force close the app and restart it. The buttons are highly irritating and still take multiple presses to work. FIX THE APP
Developer Response ,
Hi, sorry to hear you've had troubles with iSim Vent. With regards to the pressing buttons multiple times, it's possible this is just the need to "long press" the button, we felt this best replicated the action of using the real device which requires the power button to be pressed and held for a number of seconds to power on. Regarding the tone for shutting off, that is the alarm tone that sounds on the real device when you turn it off – you need to press the silence alarm button following power off to confirm the power down was intended, as is the case on the real device. Please try these and let us know if this solves the issue, thank you.
Free and effective
This is a great app to get hands on to a ventilator for distance based education and training. Works great to send students a patient case and have them send you back a screenshot of what vent settings they’d start with and you can carry the scenario/case on and have them send more. They can also screen record and show the dynamic changes they make as the patient changes.
Doesn't fit on my iPad
The edges of the vent are outside of the border of the screen so I can't use all the buttons.
