I love this game!

I play this game several times per day. It’s so relaxing and adds a great strategy to regular sudoku. There is a defect that I would like the developer to fix. If you have a 3 square cage that is shaped like an “L” instead of a straight line, when you solve one of the squares in the cage that solved number is removed from the other squares in the cage. For example if my 3 squares add up to 12, if one of the squares is 3 then the app removes 3 from all the possibilities in that row and column and block PLUS from the other two squares in the cage. If your cage goes between two different blocks, like if my “3” solved square in a cage with sum 12 is in a different block than the other two squares, it should not remove the 3 from the diagonally adjacent square. Because it is possible for the squares adding up to 12 to be 3, 6, 3. This has messed up my games many times so I’m on the lookout for it now. Fix for this defect: when you solve a square only remove that number from the possibilities in the row, column, and block. Ignore the other possibilities in the same cage.

Great to disappointed

Edit: I’ve been reading through other reviews and I’m glad I’m not the only one who is very upset about mid game ads. Even reviews from ONE YEAR AGO saying they had this issue and on of the developer replies said they were going to get rid of the mid game ads, seems that was a lie. Their only other responses are well just pay for ad free…no because we play it because it’s free. I understand ads help you to make money to keep it free but it’s sudoku not a high tech action game…seriously there can not be a high enough expense to have ads play 3-5 times from start to finish of one game of sudoku... I’ve played call of duty free on my phone and had zero ads and other high animation games that only play one ad after each round (which is fine). You guys need to reevaluate your ads placements…seriously. I loved this game ever since I started playing it, the fun of sudoku with the added challenge of adding up the numbers to fit the certain boxes. It was my constant go to game, but all these ads recently have really made it a lot less fun. I was fine with the ads after you complete a puzzle, no problem, but now I get 2 or 3 ads every game randomly throughout the middle of playing my rounds. I go to fill in a square and boom random ad, it’s infuriating and super annoying. Sadly, I’m going to have to uninstall because of this reason and search for a new sudoku that doesn’t have ads pop up in the middle of my game play.

Developer Response ,

Hello, thanks for sharing the feedback! We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the increased number of ads. We have recently changed it as all the apps are free and developing rapidly. They need more and more resources. We appreciate the feedback and will consider reducing the number of ads as it was before as soon as it will be possible.

Daily challenges too easy

I really enjoyed learning the tricks of the game, especially through the events that have randomized difficulty levels easy through hard. At first, the daily challenges felt impossibly hard, but became more doable as I learned. Recently, though, they have dropped their difficulty level and become less of a fun challenge. I used to look forward to the daily challenge, as it was often more difficult than the randomly generated extreme puzzles. Now, I am usually disappointed by them.

As far as the rest of the app, the puzzles are well constructed. It’s easy to switch from notes to entering digits. The ads are a bit annoying, but quickly skippable. They got to make money somehow. My biggest complaint is that an incorrect input immediately registers as a mistake. Sometimes I like to try out a number to see if it would work without being told whether it is correct, or my finger just slips. The hint function isn’t terribly smooth, either. If you have an input highlighted, a hint will just confirm that it is correct, which you already know because of the mistake function.

Developer Response ,

Hi, thanks for sharing your feedback. The Daily Challenges are generated randomly, and the difficulty level may vary from one game to another. You can try to play the usual games by choosing the desired difficulty levels for several days. It may help with the level change for daily challenges. Concerning the issue with the incorrect number input, we are working on some options that may be useful in such a situation. It is not clear about the hint. Kindly contact us from the "Help" section in the app. We look forward to your reply.
