The King Of Ocean 4+

Fun game!

This is a fun little game. It runs fast and seems to take up very little resources compared to other app games I play. My battery just lasts longer.
The game has a bit of a learning curve but that’s half the fun! I’m still unlocking news areas, but I’m having a blast doing it!
Beginner advice: follow the main quest closely til level 50. Don’t use gold or pearls to try and rush shop building. It may seem like a good idea, but you will want those resources later. Also remember NOT to use your teleports until later on, they are important later to protect your goods from piracy. Best thing you do is buy “4 star conqueror” pieces from the mall. You need 20 of each to upgrade your Captain and the main quest doesn’t provide them.
Also don’t worry too much about trying to unlock all the trade goods right away. Just trade purple goods from a few cities and level up. Later on the game provides resources to help unlock goods as part of the main quest.

Only the Rich kids win this game

As a novice player, you can work hard and spend a great deal of time to complete all of your daily tasks only to have it taken away in the blink of an eye by a much stronger player. You can’t use strategy and tactics to evade the fury of the more powerful players because you are forced to take only one exposed route between north and south Europe through the English Channel which makes it impossible to evade the hostile enemies. Sailing through this forced route was like sprinting through a firing squad every time I attempted to secure my winnings. This was especially true in my case because the West side was far more dominant in the game. They would win the trade wars by a huge margin every time and would dominate the North day after day. You can’t private chat on the mobile version with specific members of your team so you can’t cultivate a team strategy either. The dominant players spend lots of real money to upgrade rapidly and dominate the game. After being robbed over and over I decided to erase the game completely.

Also, the highly skilled Basque sailors were a small but dominant presence in early Western European naval history. In this game they are not even mentioned and the significant port city of San Sebastián isn’t even on the map.

Good game but needs a couple tweaks to be great

This is a fun game I’m currently in the top ten overall of my server and 3rd in trade like the grind of the game and the promise of more ships and better upgrades overtime but my only complain is after exhausting all revenue of things to do I wish u allowed for us to watch ads to earn more trade permits or instances . Something to do after your tasks, that also rewarded playtime competitively. Waiting calmly to see what you do with clans/alliances and what events will looks like personally I’m hopeing to be able to attack ports and disrupt trade if your big enough.
