The s-shaped cleaning mode doesn't work in our house because we have many area rugs. So we selected the "conventional" auto mode as the default.

Even though we programmed the vacuum through the app, it still always starts in s-shaped cleaning mode. This means if we let it start unattended, it doesn't vacuum properly, because the guidance system gets continually confused going across rugs. When this happens, we'll find it cleaning the same corner for an hour.

While the App has some useful functions it frequently logs you out and asks for password to log back in. Trouble is, it doesn’t save the password to your keychain so it will never correctly auto fill when logging back in.
I keep resetting the password but lately I can’t do that either since the app just had the endless spinning wheel when trying to do so

Not a lot of functionality, poorly laid out, zones on the shinebot w450 are basically useless. It does give you more options than not having the app, but hardly.

What I would change (I only have the w450):
- Put path mode, area mode, and spot mode all in one place.
- Add the option to save maps. This alone would elevate it from an ok product to a great product.
- Include a scale or some way to show the size of the zone you are making.
- Have more shape options than a rectangular zone.
- Include all options on the physical remote in the app. For example, you cannot mute from the app.
