Mango Baby Newborn Tracker Log 4+

The best tracking app!

My husband and I love this app! The fact that it has Siri automation has been so incredibly helpful when I have my hands full during a feeding and I can just turn to my phone and tell it that I’ve started breast-feeding to log the feed. You can even change the automation phrases to be more in line with something you would naturally say. I love that it syncs across multiple devices because my husband and I can update it in real time from each of our own devices and we have my mom logged in as well so she can see the app instead of checking in with us throughout the day. The indie developer of this app clearly has design and UX experience as noted by simple design elements like switching the buttons from the left to the right side of the screen to be a better fit for whichever hand you hold your phone with. We tried some of the other big-name apps like Huckleberry and after a week or much happier having switch to Mango Baby.

Perfect for our needs!

This app was exactly what we needed. So many baby trackers out there require a subscription, which I didn’t want to do, so we started our baby tracking with an excel sheet before I found Mango Baby. Really appreciated the one time cost model. Love that I’m able to sync events with my wife, and that it just runs through CloudKit instead of having to make an account. Also love the data import feature - I was pretty easily able to adapt the data from my excel sheet to the required format. Having all that data in one place really helps me identify trends in my baby’s development. What would I love to see in the future? More charts! Lots of data we’re inputting that could make some cool charts - like pumping output vs bottle input, for example. Custom data types! Could be used for tracking other development trends without a lot of custom development. Just ideas for the way we use the app - excited to see what you have in store!

Great baby tracker in a sea of junk

Tracking sleeps/feeds/diapers is a constant part of life with a newborn, and it makes things way easier if you have an app that works well. Mango Baby is easily the best app out there. It’s well designed, private, has all the tracking features you need without the gimmicks you don’t, and has some great power-user features too.

I’ve spent days crawling the App Store and evaluating tons of sleep tracking apps, and most other apps are some combination of poorly designed, have questionable privacy policies, or are only half functional (intended to be used either alongside some piece of hardware or subscription service). A junk app is the last thing you want to deal with every couple hours throughout the day and the middle of the night, when you often have just 1 hand free for your phone as you take care of a screaming infant.

Mango Baby, on the other hand, has a simple and visually appealing interface, keeps my data private, allows my partner and I to sync data, and supports Shortcuts, which is super useful for starting timers without even unlocking my phone.

It’s clear that the developer cares a lot about making a good app. I’m thankful Mango Baby exists, because when you use an app 10-20 times a day for months on end, every bit of polish matters.
