Description

An easy to use A-Z guide to Crystals, packed with geological and metaphysical information for over 500 crystals and lots more - made by collectors, for collectors!

Want a free and easy to use A-Z guide to crystals and minerals packed with geological and metaphysical information for over 500 crystals, plus crystal quizzes and games? Meet the crystal app created by collectors, for collectors!

All the A - Z crystal information is, and will always remain, totally FREE! You can choose to upgrade for a small, one time fee, and unlock a huge amount more with our latest update, including the ability to photograph, catalogue, tag and organise your own collection, explore an interactive crystal world map, use interactive 3D models to learn about crystal systems and growth formations, a whole series of Quick Reference Guides covering both geological and metaphysical for on the go, plus a Moon Calendar explaining the different phase of the moon and the different special full moons each month.

We're the husband and wife team who founded and run The Citrine Circle and we built this reference guide app to help people keep track of their collection, and to learn more about the amazing world of crystals and minerals that keeps us loving going to work each day. We both have a passion for crystals, and education, so we'll keep on updating with new crystals, but if anyone notices anything missing, please let us know. We're only the two of us, we don't have a research team working for us, but we'll keep on working hard to keep the guide as full and up to date as possible!

Browse through the crystals by name or image gallery using either the artwork or real photos, search for different crystals by country, or use the extensive filters to hone down your search further. Want a blue crystal that corresponds to the Throat Chakra and aids meditation? No problem! Looking for a green crystal from South America with a vitreous lustre? We can show you loads! Looking to learn about a random new crystal? Use the dice button to pick one at random!

Each crystal entry contains a General Information tab with an overview, alternate names, crystal care and any potential fakes to look out for; a Geological tab detailing the Chemical Formula, Hardness, Colour Variations, Crystal System, Streak, Lustre, UV reactivity and the main locations it can be found; and a Healing tab detailing the Metaphysical Properties, Chakra, Zodiac, Elemental, Numerology and Planetary associations. You can also use the Own and Wishlist buttons to build up your collection and quickly access them using the filters to only show ones you own.

The new Collection section lets you take photos of your crystals and add notes and link them to the crystals in the A - Z so you can use the same filter sections such as hardness, chakra etc. You can also create a completely customisable set of groups and tags to create your own filters, for example sorting them by the room in your house, or whether they’re pieces you bought or dug yourself - the possibilities are endless!

We’re big on education, so we’ve expanded the Learn section to delve more into the science behind crystals. We’ve added Quick Reference Guides such as the Crystal Dictionary to help you master the jargon, Crystal Trade Names to help you tell what something actually is and sections for Crystal Care and Identifying Crystals. If you’re a science student, check out our guides to Lustre and the Mohs Hardness Scale, or if you’re more into the metaphysical properties of crystals, then check out the Chakram Zodiac and Crystal Shape Meanings!

We've also included some simple but fun games, including 4 different styles of Quiz to help you learn, and a Pairs memory game using the gorgeous crystal artwork.

This app is not designed as an identification app, it's designed to help you learn about each crystal. This is not a fixed and exhaustive list of crystals, we're always looking to add, update and expand this app to make it as useful as possible. If you think of a crystal we have not yet added, please drop us an email with any suggestions!

wolvs for life!!!! ,

I would recommend! (Not paid for or anything lol)

I’ve only had this app for two days and I can see that it is MUCH more useful than the app I previously had! (Crystalyze) it has 512 CRYSTALS… hot dang. I cannot believe how I didn’t get this app before. Here’s a list of the awesomeness of CC! 1: it goes into a lot of detail about each Crystal and gemstone, and you can easily find that info bc it’s labeled! 2: the search is super helpful! The only fault with it is that (for example) I would tap on ‘past life’ and only one Crystal shows up. Then I’m looking at other crystals and some have ‘past life’… 3: even though there is a bunch of stuff locked, all the stuff I wanted is free! And if I ever want to unlock everything else, it’s a one time purchase of only $7!!! HOW SLAY IS THAT? this app is perfect for beginners and masters alike that are on the spiritual path (or something like that lol I’m not a super wise old lady or anything) so uh to summarize: this app is great for anyone who is interested in Crystal healing! -KinkWillow

I don’t know anymore

Updated: I’ve just updated to the paid version of this app only so that I can create my collection of all crystals that I’ve acquired so far. To my disappointment, I was only able to add 10 crystals to the collection, which is only a very small part of the gemstones I own. Apparently, you can create groups of only 10 crystals each. My problem is, I could create “letter” tags, so I can organize my crystals in alphabetical order, but I have more than 10 crystals of some of the letters, so this isn’t going to work. I only need to add all my crystals and gemstones in alphabetical order to my collection in one single group. I’m asking too much for $7? I should’ve read the app description before I paid, but I didn’t even think that there could be a limitation to the number of crystals you can add. I don’t think I can get my money back. Oh, well! Original: I’ve recently gotten into crystals as my new hobby and was trying to find an app to gather some information on gemstones, so I ran into this app, which I’m using everyday, and came to realize it’s the best of all I’ve tried. It has all information I needed, plus some more…and it’s free! I’m not even asking the ability to identify crystals to be added, which may add a subscription to the app😁…..I’m just happy and grateful the way it is.

Developer Response ,

Hey, thanks for upgrading, sorry you're having an issue with it, however It sounds like you're trying to use the group / tags feature not as intended. They are for adding extra info to sort and filter your collection beyond simple sorting by name/ date (I.e group name "rooms" then tags "kitchen", "bedroom", "study", etc). If you just add your crystals in any order, you can use the sort option at the top to arrange them alphabetically, so all of your B's, C's, D's, etc, will be grouped together. The tags are for adding to the crystals, not crystals to the tags. In your case if you really wanted to do it that way, you'd create a tag called 'A' and add it to all crystals starting with A, then B, etc. There are 5 groups, with 10 tags in each, so you could theoretically do this, but it isn't as we intended :) Hope that helps, but to discuss it further you can email me at apps.thecitrinecircle@gmail.com, thanks x

I use this app daily

I use this app probably more than any other app on my phone. I refer to it daily to study or research the metaphysical properties of all of my crystals. This helps me when setting my intentions for my jewelry and any stones or crystals I carry with me. This is a very comprehensive list. The only suggestions I have for the developer is to continue to update the list by adding other rocks or crystals, which I’m sure they do, but I cannot find blue sandstone in this app. Also, I do wish the pictures were not drawings, but they do say it’s because of the many variations of each piece so it would be impossible to include all of those in an app. But I would love to see just one real photograph of each piece instead of a drawing. I recommend this app to everyone I know with the slightest interest in rocks and crystals, almost to a fault! Lol
