Description

Sometimes we find that, in some sheet music, there's only a general score with all the parts but we would like to see the parts separated into individual scores. Now you can do it very easily!

Open you general scores in PDF format and, after adjusting each part, extract them to single PDF files.

- EXTRACT PARTS

Start by creating the parts you need and then simply tap on each staff to add it to a part. Adjusting each staff is easy and, if the general score has a similar schema, then it’s a piece of cake as you can copy and paste the layout to any other pages and rapidly extract that part.

- CUSTOM LAYOUT

Once you have a part with all the extracted staves, you can move, resize and duplicate these staves to create the design that you need.

- BAR NUMBERS

Just set the first bar number of a staff from one part, and then automatically copy to the other parts. This way all parts will have the bar numbers for each staff.

NOTE: The main function of this app will be included in digitalScore iOS app in its PRO version.

Good Start. Useful app

This could be a very useful app with a bit more polish. For one, the zoom feature needs to be customizable and saveable in the app preferences (of which there are none). As is, the (one-step, non-scalable) zoom extends the window far beyond the score, covering other apps that might be useful for the job at hand.

Secondly, there needs to be a better way to navigate parts. It does not seem intuitive to me that a part I have parsed should disappear when I select another part to work on from the menu. I often added parts on top of previous (hidden) parts, when I only wanted to select that other part to see what I had done. Perhaps a "view all parts" toggle?

Score scaling and stave separation for the extracted parts work fine. But a menu bar, or persistent dialog box would be nice.

But...getting used to the program, I find it workable to parse out parts for our quartet from a full score. I hope my comments make sense. Thanks
