What’s New
Version 1.7
• When adding a new item where a receipt has been added inside the New Item Panel or creating a new item from a receipt in the Inbox, you can use the Select Receipt Text button to select text from the receipt and use it to set the value of the field. This is available for most text fields, date fields, and currency fields.
• The Select Receipt Text feature is also available when editing an existing item that already has a receipt.
• If you add a receipt inside the New Item Panel or use the Inbox to add a new item from a receipt, Under My Roof will try to automatically seed the Purchased From and Purchase Date fields from text it finds in the receipt.
• You can now add receipts from the Inbox from inside the New Item Panel.
• You can also add photos from the Inbox from inside the New Item Panel.
• Under My Roof now prompts you on whether or not to delete the Inbox entries used when creating a new item from the Inbox or adding a photo, receipt, or attachment from the Inbox.
• Fixed an issue where the default field values in the New Item Panel may not be set as expected when adding a new item to a container item.
• Fixed a bug in Reports where the main photo of an item needs to start on the next page can overlay the information for the item that follows it.
• Fixed a bug where only the first photo would be imported for a location when importing a .hi3 file.
• Fixed a bug that could result in repeated notifications for maintenance tasks under certain circumstances.

Under My Roof is our go-to app for organizing a home, whether we’re inventorying belongings, tracking supplies and repairs, keeping an eye on warranties, or cataloging a collection. Enter details manually or scan receipts and documents—the app stores everything important, including photos for insurance purposes. You can even use your iPhone to measure objects or to scan a room and create a 3D layout. Fair warning: Once you get started, you may find yourself documenting everything!
New features are terrific - and the basics remain really helpful
I have been using this app and its predecessor for many years; I’m really happy with how simple it makes the process of keeping a home inventory. Now, it’s also helping me get my arms around maintenance of my “stuff” and of my home. It’s also helping me streamline my life by pointing out where I have just too much stuff and where I want to simplify. When I’ve been overwhelmed with work and home and kids and all, it has really helped me get things sorted.
The team that makes the app is really responsive as well. I’ve written with problems that I created when transitioning between apps, and when there have been glitches, and they have always responded very quickly, with useful information, and rapid corrections to the app where the problem was the app and not me. They also have been very fast to incorporate new ideas.
All in all, one of my most used, and most useful, apps.
I almost never write reviews
I have bought so many apps that once released they seem great but then are never updated again so it’s rare for me to write a review. This app will blow your mind with the amount of features you can pick and choose to customize it to what you need it to be. I can personally comment on the high quality of customer service because I was just figuring it out and hit a wall. Not one but several emails were exchanged between myself and the developer over a week or two. This program is amazing because it is built around real experience of what is needed when disaster hits. Features I asked about were already in the program. This isn’t just some database app, it is a complete suite of tools that can be as extensive as you need and grow as you learn and cover different areas. Strongly recommend you download the manual. Worth every penny.
