Rea Thinks ,

It as great but….

I’ve had the game for a few days now, it’s pretty cool. You get different maps, civilizations and it has some neat controls. But one issue is that their too powerful. I’m in the easiest difficulty. Yet they are still more advanced and have more military units. It’s really annoying. The one thing I hate the most about the game is that when you discover some or they discover you, your automatically at war. A cease fire is signed but like why am I at war? It’s annoying but it’s a pretty cool game in general. But still if the developers are reading this then please, lower the AI speed and AI advancements. I’ve played over 10 times and still haven’t won in the easiest difficulty against one nation. Another thing is that they expand a lot. So when you have seven cities their gonna have like 20. It’s annoying. So please, developers please fix this. Another thing is that you are so dependent on coinage.

Great but needs fixes

Hi, thank you for this rather faithful recreation of one of my all time favorite games. I’ve played this game (civ 1, 2, 3, 4, mobile version, Xbox 360, and now this) for almost 30 years, I’m not sure when it came out but I basically played it since day 1.

However, even when you set it to “novice” mode - even as an extremely experienced player - it is incredibly difficult to impossible to play. Cities revolt even when I set luxuries to 40% at like 1000BC, no matter the civ and government. Cities revolt literally the turn you build them, then you have to starve them to end the turn, then the city dies basically the same turn you build it. This is just a fail for a game to be like this. It needs to be tested and played from mid-game to end-game.

The tech and city production also seems stunted for many civs I tried. And the old-school-game cheating was a little too reminiscent of the old game. If you could make a civ 3 remake, that would be magical because that is when they really worked out most of the bugs. Thanks again

Great game, a few suggestions

It’s pretty clear that the dev(s) work really hard to make this a good game, and o sincerely appreciate that. A lot of people have complained about the convoluted tutorial,
Which is a tiny bit confusing but if you’ve played civilization (especially earlier versions) it’s pretty easy to understand. I do, however. Have a few suggestions. My first suggestion is that I think as technology progresses, you should be able to build new fortress types. Speaking of which, fortresses have very little usage and I would like to see a more prominent role for them. My second suggestion is that if you’re easily destroying a country in war, they should be a little more inclined to accept cease-fires. Kind of like a reverse ultimatum

Example: I’m currently fighting the Sioux and doing quite well, however I’ve taken some bad damage as well. If this were a feature, I could request a cease fire in exchange for gold or a city or something like that.
Otherwise, great game!
