cannot get scan to work

LightPanel does not have a scanning function - rather it provides a light source that can be used for scanning (amongst many other uses). This is all explained in the app description.

Looks like I wasted my money
I purchased this, hoping I could use it for watercolor tracing. But even at the highest brightness, it’s not bright enough. Also, whenever I lean on it, even slightly, the commands screen pops up, totally throwing me off from my tracing. Tried it multiple times. Unless someone can tell me how to stop that screen from constantly popping up, I won’t be using this and I’m out $2.49.

Just press the Padlock icon to lock the screen from any touches. This is explained on the Help screen. You can also use the Contact feature to ask for assistance if you’re having problems. Please try this and I hope you reconsider your review?
Maximum brightness depends on the model of iPad or IPhone - more recent models tend to be a lot brighter.
Outstanding for flexible lighting control
The tremendous flexibility in brightness, hue, color temperature, as well as other parameters makes this app really stand out. Highly recommended!
