Description
Clarity provide users with a way to track their sense of self, as it relates to gender identity, gender expression, and attraction and see where they identify on average.
Gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation are unique and distinct concepts with radically different implications for somebody’s day-to-day lived experiences, but in society they are often used interchangeably. Clarity is a mobile app that can help you gain greater insight into your gender and sexuality in a way that’s dignified and affirming.
Using Clarity, you will follow a guided experience through different aspects of self-identity. You’ll start by using a series of sliders to input where you feel you fit on the spectrums of gender identity, gender expression, and attraction. The app then aggregates this input to give you some guidance and insights. If you are questioning your identity, your self-perception may fluctuate over time as you experiment and discover what feels right and what doesn’t. As you go through this process, you can return to Clarity and update the responses.
Unlike many of the tools that are currently out there, this doesn’t just replace the previous responses, but rather adds to them, meaning that the more you use Clarity, the more accurate its assessment becomes.
Clarity is being designed with privacy, dignity, and affirmation at its core.

Good concept bad execution
While I love the concept this app is way to binary to track for me. They only have men, woman, both and female, male, and non-binary. You also can’t scroll somewhere in between, the only choices are those choices. You basically cannot choose anywhere on the non binary spectrum unless you’re right in the middle( other than expression but expression doesn’t count as gender )
Good but
Yea it’s like all good and stuff but I just have a small problem with the attraction section you see I’m aromantic and asexual and since there isn’t an option for neither it can be hard to choose one so if there was an option for neither that would be greatly appreciated also this is a bit weird but there are some people that are exclusively attracted to non-binary people could there also be an option for that? Again everything’s fine but an option for those would be nice other than that 5 stars!
Let’s monetize marginalization
This app is NOT to be trusted. If you want to figure out what gender expression is desirable for you, just find other trans people! Build community! Make friends! Have conversations! You will need these resources as you try and do the difficult walk that is being transgender.
Like, this app is literally trying to make money off of something that trans people do for each other for FREE. This interrupts our ability to build the communities of support we need to build a better future for US, not some rich person somewhere. Don’t let your identity be exploited in the name of profit for the cis!!
