Pretty cute
I think this is a pretty clever app, it works well and the options for creating your elf are nice. I wish you got a small trial or something before having to purchase it to make sure you could even get what you wanted out of it.
I also wish you could use two elves, we have two elves and having them in a video together would be neat. Also being able to save more than one elf would be nice as well so for those reasons I’m only giving it a 4. But it is a pretty neat app
Not worth $5
Where do I start? I’ll give it 2 stars for the idea behind it. I thought this would be a cool thing to show my kids like, “look what I caught on camera!” You have to pay for it just to use the app and see what it’s about and then pay an additional .99 for filters to mask how unrealistic the animation is…Unless you’re showing this to a toddler, who let’s face it, probably could care less to begin with, kids aren’t going to buy how obviously fake this is. The elves they let you pick from don’t even match the traditional elf on the shelf you get in the store, so if you’re showing this to a typical kid who notices the little details like this they’ll call you out instantly on that. (Outfits and features are not the same). Also, after multiple attempts I still couldn’t get the animations to look right or even close to natural looking. We live in the digital age, and kids now days know the difference between real and made on an app or computer. Bottom line, if your kids are almost to the age where they might not think Santa and elf on the shelf aren’t real anymore…this app will seal the deal lol. Save the $4.99 and record the elf riding your roomba or the dogs collar or something. At least then it’s the same elf and not some poorly animated and obvious fake.
Adorable
Son absolutely loved this. Just wish you could pick the amount of elves and more style options. We have elf on the shelf so he looked like our elf. My nephews have 2 Elf buddies so it’s more fun if we can get them to look exactly like them but for a start this is amazing!
