Description

Control your lights from your Home Screen.

With Hue Widgets, you can add widgets to your Home Screen that give you super quick access to your favorite Hue scenes. You can add actions to turn on or off all lights in a room or in your entire home. Controlling your Hue lights has never been easier!

Widgets can be configured with ease from within the app. You can add as many widgets to your Home Screen as you like.

From the beginning this app was developed with accessibility in mind. All features can be accessed using VoiceOver.

Hue Widgets works on your local network. A Hue Bridge (v2) is required to connect with your lights.

What’s New

Version 1.5

"The One That Doubles Down"

This update introduces a new widget type: A small widget that has room for two actions, doubling its functionality from the previous version.

There’s also a new action available: one that toggles lights in a room or group on AND off, saving 50% space compared to separate on/off actions.

Other than that: The app's foundation has been rewritten, taking up 50% less storage on your device. And to top it off: You can now rename your widget configurations for better recognition and organization.

Please consider writing a nice review. It will help others to find Hue Widgets in the App Store.

Great solution to a real problem!

So look, the official Hue app is cool but it has some usability issues, and offers nothing in the way of widgets. I’ve been struggling to make some band-aid fixes to automatically set animated light scenes via Shortcuts and Home integrations, but nothing has been successful….until Hue Widgets!

This app is addressing a real-world problem I’ve had, and offers a simple, elegant solution. This is engineering at its peak, and in my opinion, the definition of the usefulness of the widget framework Apple has built out.

Setup was SUPER simple and straightforward, and configuring the widgets was very easy. A good UX needs no additional documentation, and that’s a big win here. Everything I needed to know was either clearly explained in the app, or intuitive enough that no explanation was necessary.

This was the best couple bucks I’ve spent on the App Store in awhile, and I’ve used it daily since downloading it.

Initial connection issue, but works well now

I got an error when first attempting to connect, but it works well now and does what it states.

Hue Light Savior

Thank you for making this widget:
> Simple
> Minimal
> Straight Forward
> Not using unnecessary bright loud ugly icons or colors
> Not using to much blah text to describe blah functions

The official Hue Lights App decided to integrate in to Apple’s Home,,, yuk! Still convoluted and so many buttons to be pressed.

Widget is literally a click on the homescreen.

I am in Zen ⭐️ 🧠 ♥️

Note: “Return to home” so far is working well! 👍🏽

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your incredibly kind review!
