Excellent Communication Tool

This app facilitates timely communications with my providers. No more missed phone calls and the ensuing phone tag. Functionality is above average. The only recommendations would be to allow corrections on questionnaires and allow comments on post procedure questionnaires. The post procedure pain & function questionnaires are vague. A more accurate assessment would allow a pre/post procedure comparison. I had significant improvements following the procedure but questionnaire asks about interference with activities I enjoy. I didn’t attempt some of the activities I used to enjoy because I didn’t want to skew effectiveness results by attempting to play golf when I haven’t played in two years.

The portal is a must have tool on my phone homepage

I use the portal 2-3 times weekly. Caring for mom is so much easier now that all her doctors are in the MyUTHealth. All appointments, records of labs, procedures, medications, follow/up and visit summaries are instantly at my fingertips. I am gradually changing all my physicians to the UTHealth program. Two program changes would be so wonderful…. A patient note section that is accessible from my phone while in the office with the medical team. Also, my mom is on lots of medications each visit there are changes, adding a note to myself on the med list or try to remember when we get home and change her med box. Sometimes the meds are just not doing what they are suppose to or maybe a reaction… making that notification on that specific prescription would be such a huge difference for us. You see sometimes my sister or my brother have to take mom, but if I could note everything as it takes place to her file I would not have to make notes at my house, mom’s, my sister and my brother. It would be almost like having an assistant… I spend more time on the computers seeing to mom, than I ever did at my job before I retired. All the book/screen time is killing me.
Thank you… just doing my best trying to be a good daughter.

Excellent care

Last thing I thought I would be dealing with is a broken right ankle. But, dog walking can be dangerous when they bolt to get to a squirrel. After a long ER visit I was in pain and worried about how I was going to stay active.
I was stressed and in pain. When I called them I had an appointment with a doctor the very next day. Treatment options were discussed at length and we made informed decisions. The surgery went well and the follow up care has been wonderful.
Interaction is always positive and helpful. Care and concern are a major part of helping me adjust to this injury and what will be needed to get back to being active.
Thank you !
