I agree with the other reviewer concerning the fact that there is only access to watch games if you have cable tv or a $100/month DirectTV streaming subscription. The amount of money made from ticket sales and advertising revenue and then you have no way to even watch the games without cable or a $100/month subscription to an obscure streaming service that no one wants? This is not getting with the times. It’s take one step forward but two steps back. You should have a streaming platform that allows people to pay a small fee to subscribe to MASN and stream Orioles games. You are in the pockets of cable tv, which so many people have eliminated because of subscriptions to streaming platforms and yet you’ve made it extremely hard to even watch Orioles games anymore - especially since eliminating WJZ as an alternative for watching Orioles’ games. This is simply asinine! Thanks for nothing!

You’re going to need a cable provider in order to watch— okay that I can understand, MASN is a cable network. Inconvenient but that is how the industry works. Hopefully boomer execs realize they could charge a subscription fee like any other streaming service and rake in $6 a month pretty easily. What I don’t understand is the following: - same 4 ads in rotation and start playing anytime you click on either of the channels (MASN or MASN2) - Ads are FAR LOUDER than the programming audio. Meaning you are constantly having to turn down stream when games cut to commercial. I cannot stress enough how much louder these draft kings commercial are versus the audio level of the actual programming - can’t minimize app to send text, etc. and video can’t play in PiP or just audio in background. So if you leave the app for even just a second, you’re going to have to re-click on the channel and then sit through the 3+ minute ad break before the video plays again. This does not make sense for a live tv player on phone and greatly hinders user experience. Not to mention the stream delay, which is significantly behind the illegal streams found online. At least I can watch my baby birds take the AL east on my phone, I just have to dedicate my entire device to using this one app to do so🫠

The fact that you still, in 2021 cannot subscribe and stream games without cable, is insane. The intention of this app is to use your existing cable provider, at some point, to be able to stream the games, by using your cable account to login. The problem is that the owners of this franchise continue to engage with these antiquated ideas of delivering content to their fans that their fans don’t use. People are cutting the cable and using streaming services. I can’t tell you the number of people I’ve met that stopped following the Nats or the Os simply because they had to find illegal streams online just to watch them, or go through the hassle of getting an MLB subscription and using a VPN. All the owners need to do is give the fans the ability to subscribe to watch the games to the team we love directly, in market, without a cable provider, like it’s not still 2009.
