Great app except…
I am preparing for my national exam next week and have been using other apps in addition to this one. I do like how this app is set up and the questions are phrased differently, which will help for retention and on test day. However, there are a LOT of spelling errors and flat out missing words that can cause you to answer incorrectly because you don’t know what it’s asking (word missing). The spelling errors are things like expect instead of except, among other things. Not a deal breaker by any means but the cost of the app definitely does not lend itself to the obvious lack of proof reading.
Not current with trauma
Bleeding treatment is different in current national training compared to the material used in the App. Should be direct pressure then tourniquet or hemostatic agent.
Misleading
This app is fine for anyone seeking to become an EMT-B. However, I answered a couple hundred paramedic level questions and did not encounter a single question specific to paramedic skills or knowledge. Instead, all were at the EMT-B level. This app seems to have intentionally dishonest so as to mislead people who select “Paramedic” (or AEMT) at the skill selection screen. I give it 2 stars for what it is, but deduct 3 for the dishonesty. I purchased this app and now will have to debate whether I want to spend more money to prepare since the creators of this app weren’t transparent with their product. I only recommend this if you’re going for EMT-B.
