TECHNICAL DETAILS

-> Only you can view your data:
When using HashThat, all your passwords (inc. their category and descriptions) are encrypted using your master password. This means that only you can see your passwords and the type of passwords. Not even our team can see it! This is true privacy.

-> Multi-Layer Encryption:
When using HashThat, your sensitive data is encrypted with AES-256 bit encryption while using PBKDF2 SHA-256 and unique salted hashes for every user. Furthermore, HashThat comes with an optional feature of encrypting all your data twice. To enable this feature, simply make use of the 'Secret Key' attribute. Furthermore, you can adjust the number of encryption iterations used per encryption layer.

-> Client-Side Encryption:
All your sensitive data is encrypted on your device. This measure is one of many steps taken to keep your data safe, secure and private.

-> Device Verification:
Device Verification adds an optional extra layer of security when logging in to your account by confirming that the gadget logging in is on your approved list of devices. If the device is not on your approved list, the login attempt is rejected, and no data is sent to the device (thus keeping your passwords safe). Furthermore, an email is automatically sent to your registered email to notify you about the unverified login attempt while also giving you a simple option to verify the device.

-> Advanced Remember Me:
If you don't wish to enter your credentials each time you use a personal device (e.g. a mobile phone), we created a secure 2-step 'Remember Me' process. One of the nice things about this feature is that you can remotely (i.e. from a different device) disable the remember me (e.g. in the event your device gets stolen).

-> Non-Intrusive:
To give you the privacy you deserve, your data is only viewable within the app. As a result, Form Filling is not available. We strongly believe that this is an essential move to ensure your privacy. Furthermore, once you close the app, no data is retained on the device. This is a perfect solution if you use public devices regularly.
