Excellent
It shares the best of his work and all of his crew! It a hunting narrative that depicts the deep friendships borne of their time together. This is true whether it is the story how Randy needed to go home to support his and how the crew stepped in to fill the void or Rudy playfully teasing his crew. In addition, there is all the honesty. For example, long hunts and tags that are not filled and success that is less than expected. And, of course the moments of success! What happened this year is an example of greatness in narrative art! I feel honored to able to experience this richness.
Real
Fresh Tracks is a true representation of ‘real’ hunting. One doesn’t harvest their quarry on every hunt with one shot like some videos portray. Fresh Tracks shows the misses as well as the hits. What you see is what you get.
Hunting is NOT JUST about killing your quarry. It is the hunt, the friendship, hardships, the scenery, new places & the experiences. I remember taking my daughter deer hunting when she was 15-16 & her telling me about watching the squirrels & an inch worm crawl across the toe of her boot. That is hunting & that is Fresh Tracks
Love the show and all the content.
I love how all the hunters talk about why they hunt and what it means to them. They relate to the wild and the animals and use it to relax or “reset” as Beau Baty says. I’m a big fan or Beau Baty. And it’s more than just shooting animals. It’s the whole experience and respect for the outdoors and the animals themselves. Something that I do miss. I’m a big shooting and gun guy myself. I liked when it told you what caliber and bullet they were shooting when they shot at an animal.
