TransLoc was better

The other reviews have already mentioned these things, but here is why this app isn’t good.

The app sometimes won’t load. The reason I’m writing this review right now is because for the last couple of days, the app wouldn’t load. When I went to pull it up today to see where my bus was, it didn’t let me in again.

If the app does load, it is more confusing and less user friendly than the app we were using previously (TransLoc). You might think that this is because I was just used to TransLoc and have to get used to this. That is not the case. I’m a freshman who had never taken a bus by themselves prior to coming to college. Using TransLoc was still much easier. In TransLoc, you could find an area, and it would show you bus routes in that area. With this app, you have to know what route(s) you want to use for them to come up. This seems like a big design flaw, especially considering that many new college students who will be coming to Gainesville aren’t familiar with what routes to take to get to certain locations.

Needs Some Work

I’m writing this review not to slander the app however there are some serious issues, currently, the app isn’t loading and says there’s a weak connection weather or not I’m connected to internet or I have really good service. Prior to this issue the interface of the app has some issues such as navigation of the app as well as the way you look up routes, and the accuracy of where the busses are located in the real-time map. Many users may find it difficult to look up their routes if they don’t have prior knowledge of how the bus routes work with inbound and outbound routes. Having to search for the route you need to take can pose some problems if the user doesn’t know what routes are needed, when RTS Gainesville used translock you were able to see all the bus routes in the area you are in which I feel would be a good addition to this app and would counter the issues all except the real-time map which I feel is a GPS to app issue. If the developers were to fix the bug that is stopping bc the app from loading and fixed the main points this app would be well on its way to being an easy-to use app that everyone could benefit from using.

Major improvement needed.

I recently moved to Gville and I've been using the bus system and this app to get around. Here's why I'm giving it one star:

For a beginner like myself, the bus and route tracking has been extremely confusing. The maps which supposedly help to "track" buses are often inaccurate. Aside from flaws in basic functionality, the app also crashes frequently. Sometimes an error message pops up as soon as I open it telling me I have an unstable internet (often not true) and the app doesn't load afterward. This glitch can often last for hours.

Another reviewer mentioned this already but it's an important point to reiterate: lots of people depend on the bus system and this app to move around. The bus system itself is somewhat simple so I don't understand how this app can be so disappointing, it's not like this is the London Underground with a million routes and stops. I hope the app undergoes a huge makeover soon, it's definitely in dire need of it.
