Ratings and Reviews
good tool in your tool belt
There are not any true “far left” general news sources in the U.S to be found. Far left sources in the U.S tend to follow niche topics of interest. However, I accept this app for what it is. Another tool in your toolbelt when it comes to navigating right wing, farther right wing and center liberal or progressive echo chambers. It does that well and I appreciate the latest update. Only issue was the loss of my set custom rules for media sources. I recommend leaving the rules largely the same but a few on the left can be moved more to the center. If your not sure which just check ad fontes media ratings.
Finally a way to see multiple views of one news story in one place
I’ve been concerned about news bias for years and this helps me immediately get informed about what outlets across the spectrum are saying about a given topic. What I really appreciate is seeing the spread of reporting, the likely bias or lean of it, and who’s doing the reporting.
I wouldn’t normally get exposed to far right or left reporting on purpose, this helps me make a more informed decision about the media I consume. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

This is a strange time in our history where the crossover between media and news and agenda and money feel all more blurred than ever, so having an agnostic perspective of the daily news feed is actually an important and eye opening necessity. FINALLY! This needs to be a part of everyone’s feed….to zoom out and remind ourselves where we get our news from. I hope there are more apps like this, keeping it real.
