The territory of southern Burgenland and the county of Vas is one of the richest regions in historical and archaeological values. This area, which has been divided by a state border for nearly a century, has been a single common area since the Stone Age. The processing of archaeological values ​​has always taken place at the state level, without taking into account the former common territory, and some archaeological sites have never been processed in the context of cross-border cooperation.
