Ratings and Reviews
See AllGreat in every way!
I have been using HomeBudget to manage my finances for many years. The app has served me well; however, it hasn’t seen an update for two years and I’m afraid it’s been abandoned. So it’s time to move on.
And moving on, I am. After trying several potential replacements, I feel lucky to have found Budget Flow. The app is not only gorgeous but presents data in a way that’s easy to understand. Every feature makes total sense and appears to have been thoughtfully implemented.
To me, where Budget Flow is today in terms of design and functionality more than meets my needs. However, a quick look at the development roadmap ahead reveals that added functionality is coming. Its future is bright. Did I mentioned there is a Mac version of Budget Flow? I don’t think I did, but yes, there is one. Thank you, developer!

Great Budgeting App
I was looking for an app that would allow me to look ahead to my account balances based on my recurring transactions (forecasting), something with great UX that follows the Apple Design Principles, and offers easy transaction input options. Essentially, a MoneyStats/MoneyCoach competitor — Budget Flow is it!
What’s most noticeable is that this developer puts in the work to implement user requests. This most recent update is a testament to that. There’s one feature I’ve been looking for that’s been upvoted by many others in the feature request portal and the devs indicated that he’s working on it, so I’m sure it’ll be added soon.
My point is that if you’re looking for a budgeting app that’s functional, pretty, consistently improved, and that has a responsive dev, this is a great option!

Best in Class
I’ve used quite a few expense tracker apps over the years. This one ticks most all of the boxes you could ask for. I love its overall look and feel, the clean UI, and multitude of features, including a field for Payee — which most apps I’ve used lacked. It has tags, attachments and locations too and an easy to use budgeting feature which I’m actually starting to use. Most apps I’ve tried the budgeting feature is more complicated than you’d think it would be. The transactions that belong to one or more transaction categories automatically show up, a nice touch.
Only missing features for me are:
1. A url field to track online purchases.
2. One off budgets, with a start and end date (that aren’t recurring) and that can be archived when complete.
3. A large widget with a list of upcoming / planned transactions.
4. Optionally be able to see the transaction notes in transaction list, rather than having to first open the transaction.

Hi iOSBliss,
thank you for your positive feedback. I am very happy that you like the app! 😊
Regarding your suggestion for improvement: It is already possible to display the content of the notes instead of the category. How to do this is described here: https://help.budget-flow.app/articles/how-to-customize-the-displayed-transaction-title.
For the other suggestions for improvement, you can also check my roadmap to see if they have already been suggested and, if necessary, create further feature requests so that I can plan for them in the future. You can find the link to the roadmap in the app under “Suggest Feature” :)
Best regards
Fabian
