Description

Eat Sleep is the simplest way to track your baby’s eating, sleeping, and diaper habits. It’s designed so you don’t have to mess with timers, alarms, or typing. All the important stuff can be entered with a one-finger tap. View all eat/sleep/diaper events for each day, or view the combined history of any individual activity. As you continue using the app, you’ll be able to view trends from day to day, week to week, or month to month.

Unlike some apps, Eat Sleep isn’t overflowing with features you may not need. A real, working, first-time mom helped design the app so it’s simple and easy to use. Eat Sleep tracks the information your baby’s physician cares about most without being needlessly complicated.

Eat Sleep also includes a simple note-taking feature which allows you to track special events or routines. You can also now track multiple children.

FEATURES:

Eat – Track how long your baby was breastfed and which side. You can also track the amount of formula or pumped breast milk your baby consumed.

Sleep – Simple options and no calendars to mess with. Select when your baby finished sleeping and approximately how long—the app does the rest! Intuitive menus help jog your memory and let you enter blocks of time quickly.

Diaper – Keep tabs on diaper changes and whether diapers were wet, dirty or both. This is especially important for breastfeeding moms who need to know if their baby is eating enough!

BabySync - A paid feature that allows you to back up, share, and collaborate on your child with others!

Eat Sleep is free but does contains ads. You can simply remove these ads while also supporting the makers of this app through an in-app purchase on the settings screen.

Great idea! But...

I really do like the app, it's a great way to keep track of baby's sleep and feeding schedules. However, the sleep tracker needs to be changed. As soon as baby wakes up, I'm not going to fish for my phone to immediately select 'just woke up'. There needs to be a number dial so I can go back later and set the exact time she woke up, the exact time she fell asleep and the app calculates the amount of hours. I don't like the fell asleep after 5 and then the only option after next is 15 minutes; it screws up your whole hours/day you're trying to keep track of.
The feedings is perfect, I like that it breaks down the ounces drank by halves for if they don't finish a bottle. I think it's awesome that there's options for those who breast feed.
The app is a really great concept, but the sleep feature needs improvement.

Easy to use and straight to the point!

I got in the habit of recording my twins' feedings and changings while in the hospital. I downloaded this app to keep within the habit, and good thing I did because doctors are always wanting to know how many times they're eating, how much, how many times they're going to the bathroom. Our Twin A is still in the NICU, so we see doctors and nurses every day, and they're always asking these questions for Twin B. This app is super handy because I just need to pull up the daily review to see total # of feedings, changings, etc. and then broken down whether it was bottle or breast, how many ounces or how many minutes to breast, if it's a wet, dirty, or both diaper... it's just so awesome and straight forward. I ended up being the 99¢ for the paid version because I know I'll be using this app for quite some time.

Needs improvement

I use the app exclusively for tracking sleep so I can't speak to the other components, but this part of the app is just ok. I like that the icons are easy to spot, user-friendly. My issue is there are times I don't have my phone on me so I just write down times my baby feel asleep and woke up, and the app doesn't allow for entering in exact times. In fact, the sleep tracker, unless you strictly use the "just fell asleep" and "just woke up" can be really confusing. And, the app itself doesn't always use exact times. There have been a few false starts, so to speak, when I think my little is asleep so I click on "just feel asleep" and that time is recorded correctly, but then if he wakes five minutes later and I click "just woke up" the app will mark it as a 15 minute nap.

If there was the ability to enter exact slew and awake times this app would get five stars.
