A person collapses. People around yell for Help! Are you prepared? ANYONE CAN BE A HERO®

Only 5% of patients in Sudden Cardiac Arrest survive. Why? Mostly because CPR is not started immediately. Average response time for an Ambulance is 8-12 minutes, brain damage starts in 4 minutes, brain death in 10 minutes.

TEAM LIFE CPR is an easy to follow CPR Script to use in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

TEAM LIFE CPR guides you though CPR, step-by-step with both visual and audible prompts.

Jim Schatzle, President of TEAM LIFE, INC., a Paramedic for over 20 years who has trained thousands of people in CPR states, “We need to increase the survival rate for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. 5% is unacceptable. We will continue to encourage people to take CPR certification classes, but we feel compelled to empower everyone with a simple, straightforward CPR Script to follow during an actual rescue. We truly hope that with the development of the TEAM LIFE CPR application more victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest will survive. We want people to know that ANYONE CAN BE A HERO®.”

Great tool to review steps

I am a teacher and I just went through CPR and AED training today. My 12 year old son went through the training last year in boy scouts. This app is great just to periodically review the steps. It only takes about five minutes to review using this app!

Good attempt, INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS!

What looked like a good app is actually OUT OF DATE and makes a CRITICAL MISTAKE by totally ignoring calling 9-1-1/AED (both of which are ESSENTIAL!). The NEW depth is at least 2" for adult victims (over puberty) and 2" for children over 1 year old, and 1/3 depth of chest or 1.5" for infants. The instructions to "Look, Listen and Feel" are OUTDATED. Your order needs correcting!

What could have been a good app is dangerously misleading due to NOT calling 9-1-1/getting (or requesting) an AED BEFORE starting CPR on an adult victim. It IS true that you give CPR/rescue care for 2 minutes if alone with children/infants (unless sudden collapse NOT related to a respiratory emergency), THEN call 9-1-1.

Having taught over 40,000 students, I'm not trying to be critical--please consider redoing/following the 2010 Guidelines by the American Heart Association and verify step-by-step and you'll have a good app.

For the person who said you don't do breaths anymore, that's true if you have no PPE (personal protective equipment), too much facial trauma or you are untrained/unwilling to breath on a stranger's face; but for children, infants, choking/drowning victims of all ages, breathing is required. Carry a face shield/glove pack on a key chain or keep with you but breathing IS still taught. GOOD LUCK and I'll check back soon for corrected update!
