Description

Take note of life with Chronicle, a simple journaling app that offers more than bound sheets without overcomplicating the writing experience.

Focused writing. Multiple photos per entry that you can move, resize, rotate - your words flow around them. A recent New York Magazine article cites research showing people experienced improvement in "physical and mental well-being. They were happier, less depressed and less anxious" after writing about emotional or stressful events for a few days.

Start writing more, today. Reliable storage, autosave, and passcode lock protect your words; share or read them on your computer with PDF, text, and email export. You can also create backups and save them to other apps such as Dropbox, Drive, and Evernote.

Your journal will never run out of pages, but you can manage different topics or years in separate journals with the notebooks add-on.

Take a break from social networks. Write comfortably knowing you can find anything you wrote with built-in search. Search results include relevant snippets of text so you can easily find the exact entry you’re looking for.

According to a Harvard Business School paper, taking 15 minutes to reflect on your work at end of the workday can boost job performance (the study's journaling group performed 22.8% better on a test than the control group that simply continued working).

Start keeping a journal or diary. Organize chapters for a novel. Jot down notes and ideas. You can always export what you’ve written for safekeeping.

Wonderful diary app

I’ve been using this app almost daily since October 2017. It’s expanded its features and I think it’s author for the dedication that he has had to improving his app. It is very easy to use and I have recommended it numerous times to my friends. I have multiple journals and I not only use it as my personal diary but I also use it as a prayer journal, and other task specific journals.
There are some changes that I have noticed that are almost going backwards. The voice recognition software seems less accurate. It might be me but I’ve noticed a change over the three years. The next is a request for highlighting and underlining. I noticed that after using the app for a long time there are some things that you want to remember and refer back to at a later time. Adding these features would help with that. All in all great tool.

Outstanding App - Highly Recommend

I have been using Chronicle since the original version and have found it to be a excellent application to manage events and information and provides the ability to do quick searches on all the information you have added to the app when you need it. Additionally, the backup options are tremendous so that you can export your backups to both a PDF or text file to save your work, or you can use the backups to print on another device/computer. The developer has also created an additional capability (for a very reasonable fee) to create multiple journals on the same device so that each journal can be separately maintained.

This is one app that I use every day to keep notes related to my work (& events away from work). To the extent that I want to include my notes in another app like a word processor or calendar, etc., I can simply copy the text from Chronicle and paste it into the other app. The developer has also done a great job of keeping the app updated to the latest Apple iOS version and adding improvements to make give it more features increasing its flexibility (I started using Chronicle on an iPad1 and today, a half dozen iPads later, I am typing this review on my iPad Pro 10.5).

I continue to highly recommend Chronicle to everyone needing to keep a journal, diary, memo pad, events of events, or just needing a place to record anything that you think you might need to remember later (& be able to get to it quickly).

I devoted my personal thoughts to "Chapters," and then one day (after updating to MACOS Sonoma) it d

I devoted my personal thoughts and quick notes to the "Chapters," app for years, even though it said it wasn't MAC friendly, and then one day (after updating to MACOS Sonoma), the entire Chapters content disappeared. My heart was BROKEN! And I lost all my personal thoughts and collections of ideas. I knew I should get out of there, but I didn't see any other app that could do what Chapters does-- sooo VERSATILE! Then I saw this App's icon looks the same as Chapters (only red), and wondered if it was a newer version of Chapters (black). I think it is, although it doesn't say so. I've been using it, and it functions exactly the same. This little app is so appealing because it's a quick stop for a quick note that applies to a multitude of issues in life. And yet, with a quick entry in "search," there it is. So handy! After my Chapters app died, I was lost because there's really no other app that fits this need-- until I saw this! I just pray the developer would PLEASE enable it to align with MAC OS as it grows. This is a Grrreat App!
