What’s New
Version 4.54.0
Finally, international payments can be made from the app! For now, you can make payments to countries in Europe only, but more countries will be made available in the next few months. Note! Before you start using the app for international payments, you must activate this service from the online bank - if you haven’t already done so.
Other improvements:
- Under the Me tab, you will now find your payment settings including payment agreements and standing orders.
- When you open the Payments tab, the date is shown as default. If you switch to account, you’ll now also see the account’s available amount.
- From the Me tab, you can now easily access the app settings.
- Bug fixes and other improvements.

No Apple Pay In 2024
So it’s 2024 and still the bank cards from DNB not supporting Apple Pay. Why?? This is very bad for a very big bank in Norway. And please don’t tell me that is coming from your separate app in iOS 17.4 because I’m not interested to use it unless it’s Apple Pay only as it’s safest.
Requires Background App Refresh to be enabled
The GUI is indeed nice, and application feel rather lightweight and fast, but the fact that it requires Background App Refresh to be enabled is very frustrating. Not a single bank application I know does that: Nordea is fine without it, SEB is fine without it and so on - all of them allow me to log in with Face ID, but DNB does not. Why DNB needs Background App Refresh to be enabled for that and others don’t - remains to be unknown.
