Needs update

I absolutely love this thing.. I first got it when I had the 4s and it worked great.. When I get the 5 it would connect automatically then disconnects with about 5 seconds but when I go back and reconnect it to the Bluetooth it works great the rest of the time in the car.. Now after an update to ios6 it won't stay connected at all. My Bluetooth can't even find the signal in range even though its on an I'm in the car.. I have to unplug the adapter for a few minutes plug it back in and hope it connects.. If it does it normally drops signal randomly a few songs later. Ive been waiting for an update since august so i wouldn't have to go through such a hassle to get this thing to work. The only reason I bought this one is because I don't have an aux in my car. But now I wish I did since there is an aux adapter that is only $30 and it works great as opposed to $100 where maybe it works and maybe it doesn't. My first review was 5 stars this one is 3 next will be five one stars stating I bought a whole new radio with an aux already in it.. Please update!?

Flawless in 2021

I’ve been running TuneLink in my 2004 Acura MDX for many years. I use the audio jack to feed my Acura’s auxiliary input, not the FM transmitter, and the sound is fantastic. This app still runs fine on iOS14. FWIW I would have purchased a newer vehicle a decade ago had it not been for TuneLink. Instead I start my vehicle, music immediately starts playing from my iPhone via Bluetooth - just like it would in a modern vehicle.

Perfect solution

I recently purchased a new vehicle and saved a bundle on not getting a full-blown factory radio (that could only be used in that vehicle) because I already had a FM transmitter, 2 days later it gave up the ghost. It never was that great, lots of dropouts and always having to change frequencies due to interference (even though it had a rather long wire antenna), and so instead of replacing it I went on the hunt for a better solution and found the TuneLink. I emailed the factory with a few questions and Bill got back to me within an hour or so. Still not convinced that the unit would work any better then the one I had I downloaded the app and watched the channel selection feature as I drove around in what are normally RF rich areas of town. I was so impressed with it that I figured I'd give the unit a try. I've had the unit for a couple days now and haven't had to change my frequency selection once. The FM (RF) link is rock solid even tough my power point is low on the dash and there is a lot of metal between the TuneLink and my radio's antenna. Set up was as advertised, took about 30 seconds to pair up my 4S and my IPod. If you want a SOLID, SEAMLESS, WIRELESS, PORTABLE, and FEATURE RICH SOLUTION to connecting your music to any vehicle you maybe in, this is the answer. Thanks Bill and the crew at New Potato.
