Hi! This is Västtrafik’s app. You can plan your trip, buy tickets and stay updated on our traffic. You can travel with the app in Västra Götaland and Kungsbacka.
With our app you can:
• Buy single-, period- and daily tickets. Pay with payment card or Swish
• Search trips and find the quickest route
• See vehicle location in real time and stay updated on traffic disruptions
• Register for cashback on single tickets, securing your period tickets and the possibility to lend your period ticket
• Save your favorite trips and stops as favorites
• Export your trip to your calender or share it with your contacts
• See departures and arrivals for specific stops
• Purchase company tickets if your employer is connected to Västtrafik Företag
• See where on-call traffic is an option to our regular traffic (shown when searching trips)

This version of the app includes the following:
• Detailed view for trips has a new layout, to easier convey the information.
• Traffic disruptions are now displayed with a header. Tap the header to display the whole message.

Makes using public transportation very easy!
I LOVE this app! It has made traveling around Gothenburg a breeze. I was easily able to purchase tickets with my foreign credit card. I can search for various routes and it will even show a map of how to get to the stop and from which platform my tram is leaving. Highly recommended!
Unable to process non Swedish bank cards
This app has been the bane of my existence. I am in Sweden for many months of the year. But since I'm not a resident of Sweden, I don't have a Swedish bank card.
This app refuses to accept any foreign credit/debit cards. I've tried it with French cards, UK cards, US cards, and middle eastern cards. Each of them continuously fails. So time and time again, I am having to ask my Swedish friends to pay for me. It's really odd, to be honest with you. And far from a convenience.
Otherwise, the app runs smoothly for the majority of the time. But I give it a 1-star because I can't even make use of it with my own credit cards.
More detailed than google maps
Different stops can have several platforms, and this was a great supplement with more accurate platform location and times. Google sometimes made us more confused, and this app made using public transport around Gothenburg more seamless.
