Description
RCS Remote is an application (app) for your phone or hand-held device that lets you control your NexGen Digital's station log. You can manipulate the log with play, pause, stop and fade and go. You can change the station you are controlling as well as switch between satellite, live assist and automated modes. Configure macros and record simple voice tracks directly into the system. RCS Remote directly saves changes into the automation system's library.

We were considering purchasing iPads for each of our 4 stations and using the RCS Remote for "live" broadcasts while out at remote locations. Good thing we waited because we now know that this app has little to no functionality on new iPads (anything beyond the 1st Gen) and also doesn't work on iPhone 4S. These issues are known to RCS but they refuse to acknowledge this on any of their documentation or on phone support until you finally call to let them know you're having problems. Also, we're now down some cash from the VPN service we purchased because we were told we needed it. Wasted a tremendous amount of time and frustration on something that was never going to work and on something we would have gladly waited on exploring if only the specs/support had been clearer (upfront) on the devices that the app DOESN'T work on.
Will there be an update? Or is this it for what could be a wonderful tool.
