Description

Want to know how fast you're going, without having to look at your iPhone screen? Speed Speak is a talking speedometer, which announces your speed aloud using text-to-speech technology!

Use it while skateboarding, cycling, sailing, kayaking, gokarting, blokarting, skiing, snowboarding... or anywhere where you don't (or perhaps do) have a dashboard!

Options screen allows you to choose between:
* miles per hour
* kilometers per hour
* knots
* US, UK and AU voices

Configure how often, or at what speed intervals, you'd like your speed announced.

----

Note: SpeedSpeak isn't a substitute for your vehicle's speedometer. It is dangerous (and might be illegal) to use your iPhone while driving. Always drive below the speed limit and pay attention to the road.

What’s New

Version 2.0

* Two new voices (UK and AU)
* A new look for iOS 7

Meh... Limited options

Only shows full MPH... So if running it will only show/say you're going 5 or 6 mph.... Not 5.5 mph. Which renders the app utterly useless for anything but vehicles in my opinion.

Wanted something to announce my speed every few minutes so I kept pace on longer runs... Another disappointment as it only allows up to every 25 seconds.

Wasted a dollar, for my use, due to limited features.

Sprinter

Great app get Bluetooth wireless headset and this and it works perfectly as a sprinting partner. If I beat my last mph record it says it and I never have to look down my arms are free and I can go as fast as I could without being distracted or looking down.

Like the worlds first cyborg or something. If you want to be a cyborg get this app but ONLY with Bluetooth headset or it won't work right if you sprint with it.

I’d give 0 stars if I could

The only reason to spend $0.99 on this app is because it is supposed to speak your speed, which it does not do. It does display the speed but that isn’t helpful when you’re riding a motorcycle and want to know if your speedometer is correct. Update the app to speak the speed and ratings may go up.
