Description

Optimized for iOS 11 and iPhone X

EKG Academy is a quick reference and interactive study guide for electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) strips. Over 100 quiz questions are provided, covering both EKG medical background material as well as a "Name That Strip" section to see if you can identify the strip you see. It's a fun way to review what you know and keep your skills sharp.

In addition to the interactive quizzes, you can browse over 75 strips which come with a brief discussion pointing out the key characteristics and possible causes. Along with the measurement guide diagram and 12 lead placement diagram, you just may learn something new (or remember something old)!

As a special bonus, there is a CPR section covering the latest 2011 AHA guidelines, written by a certified CPR instructor. This includes a quick reference, an interactive quiz, and even a metronome to show you the proper speed of compressions!

Peakview Software is a leading provider of emergency response software, and we are committed to improving and updating our products. Just email your requests.

basic errors in the interpretation

DO NOT BUY THIS APP. This app will reinforce instead of correct the most common errors in the interpretation of arrythmias. The authors indicate atrial sensing with there is clear atrial pacing every other P wave. With a little more attention they could have observed the ¨pairing¨of the complexes. Most importantly, a case of clear sinus bradicardia and PACs is mistaken by atrial fibrillation. Lead V1 shows consistent P waves. Anticoagulation of this patient would make a good case for a lawyer. Sinus nodal block is proposed for a case of pronounced sinus arrhythmia which is commonly seen in young patients (this ECG seems to be from a young patient).

Helpful

I was able to use this app as a review for ACLS. I wish they would add second degree type 2 heart block strips. Otherwise, contains brief but accurate descriptions.
