Frustrating

I’ve used this bank for a number of years and really like the bank because of convenient locations. However for the amount of years I’ve been with this bank the app has been poor quality.

What I mean by that is NONE of the features of the app will work correctly all at the same time. Which is….fine, mostly because I don’t use them all anyways. I’ve tried to use the mobile check deposit in the app over the years and it has NEVER worked for me. Fine, the bank isn’t far to drive to. However the most frustrating thing is when you can’t login because it says invalid name and password but it’s saved to your phone and haven’t changed it. So you go in and change the password get it re-saved and then it says the same thing the very next time you log into it.

This doesn’t happen often, but when it does it takes awhile for it to be working again. Honestly, it makes me want to switch banks because I should at least be able to log in and see my money whenever I want.

And the part that’s annoying is that I would have to change all of my financial stuff to do so all because of a lousy app.

I am extremely disappointed with the performance of this app. It frequently fails to load and exhibits inconsistent behavior in displaying account balances and transactions. For instance, after making a purchase, the transaction initially appears and the balance updates accordingly. However, upon reopening the app, the transaction mysteriously disappears and the balance reverts to its previous state. This inconsistency is not only confusing but also potentially misleading, as it could lead users to believe they have more funds than actually available, possibly resulting in overdraft fees. Additionally, the app struggles with basic functionality, often taking an unreasonably long time to reach the login screen. I can confirm that these issues are not related to my phone or WiFi connection, as suggested by the app support. This app is currently the most problematic one on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Users should monitor their accounts vigilantly to avoid any financial mishaps.

This app needs work

I absolutely love banking here but this app is a nightmare. After my card was hacked and dealing with the stress of fraud (which the bank was amazing at calming my nerves and straightening everything out) I have to keep my card locked to feel safe and secure. There is no way to go online and unlock my card, only through the app. If there is an emergency or I’m trying to pay a bill or checking out at the store, it is an absolute mess trying to functionally do so without having to hold up a line to call in and stay on the phone so they can lock it back when I’m completed with my purchase or payment. At minimum 3 days a week, the app is inaccessible. Again, I love banking with First State but this app needs a lot of attention and work.
