Flight Tracker Expert 4+

So, today my dad was flying home, so I was like 'ok char, time to look for an app to track his flight home. Since he was my dad, and he gave my mom his flight info, I was able to track it really well, except that it didn't show it was delayed until about 20 minutes before the regular take off time. This was good for my dad, because that meant that he went to the airport and checked in on time, but if he had known earlier,he would have gotten more sleep.

The only other thing about this app I didn't like was that it needed all the flight info. I would LOVE it if they could update it to where you can search via airline, or airport, but over all it was a great flow get tracker.

I wanted to add that as of April 15, 2016, Ive now tried this app three times. Each time I'm boarding my delayed flight before this app updates the status from "On Time" to delayed. I don't need an app to tell me at that point!! Delete app.

Yes.. After rushing to the airport and trying three different apps to track my flight, I've decided asking the pilot upon arrival is faster and more accurate. Upon check-in at the Surabaya airport, the attendant said there may be a delay. Still the app said "on time". Then, after a delicious java chip Frappucino and some shopping for trinkets, I learned from the marquis that my flight was delayed 45 minutes. Still the app said on time. After more waiting and some dinner, my flight finally arrived... 1.5 hours delayed. Still the app said "on-time." If any of you has flown in Indonesia, you know that getting information that's accurate is like finding that leprechaun and the pot of gold. Yet, I go more accurate information from Indonesians in the airport than this app provided. Big fail!

The app has some great reviews, and I was particularly taken with the screen shots on the app page. I love the quick access: it simply asks for the airline and flight number, and off it goes. No painful sign-up and login requests. Now the downside: I entered my airline and flight for my first app use and it immediately found my flight (UA 5903) - but didn't show my flight's portion. That is, it showed the afternoon flight (ORD to Greenboro I think) but didn't show my flight (Little Rock to ORD), even though the flight was still four hours from my departure. Very disappointing. I tried again a couple of times and then got the "sorry, only 3 attempts per day with the free version...sign up for the pay version. That's too few opportunities to learn a new app and I'm sorry they move to the paid version option so quickly. It could be a great app...but not sure I'll ever know.
