Jazz, Blues and News from Ypsilanti, MI. WEMU is Washtenaw County’s live and local NPR radio station.
Focused on playing a unique mix of jazz since 1977 and keeping you informed about the news you need to know if you live in or near Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Michigan.
You can pause and rewind the live audio and view the program schedule for WEMU all at once!

A Staple App for All Jazz Lovers
WEMU is such a gem, there are very few radio stations that offer such extensive collections of jazz, and paired with the local and national NPR it's all you need in one well-run station. This app is incredible because it offers easy listening in situations where you don't have a radio, or even when you're not in Ypsi/Ann Arbor to enjoy 89.1! I use it almost every day.
Excellent app for jazz listeners
I have never had an issue with the functionality of this app at all. I’ve always enjoyed WEMU’s programming (especially the Jazz programming) too & am glad I can listen to the station when I’m not in MI.
Good app, but where are playlists?
The app is fine as far as it goes, with several useful features, including streaming and access to prerecorded shows. It also identifies what is currently playing. But I can't find playlists to identify songs I heard earlier, when I couldn't look at my phone.
