Good start, but needs an update

I tried the free lite version of this app and vas very impressed. I was excited about buying this app. As is its $0.99 price tag is about right. The free version had only eight paintings and I was hoping for a lot more with this one. Well it has more, about 20. (I have removed it so don't remember exactly). The good thing about this app is the picture quality. The developer must have paid close attention here because the colors are incredible, and the images are very sharp. The quality of the images is really stunning. I have bought a few other Van Gogh painting apps, and was very disappointed with all of them. On all the others the colors were dullish and washed out, and even though you could zoom, you shouldn't because the resolution was for crap. The bad parts about this app are 1. Need many more images, 2. You can only zoom by double-tapping, and when you do, yes the picture is still sharp, but you only part of the painting, you cannot pan around by moving the image with your finger. The standard pinch-zoom and pan really need to be added. 3. This is the big one. There is an option to have a digital clock shown which really ruins the experience because you cannot turn the clock off!! There is an option on the settings page which appears to be the clock on/off switch, but when turned off the clock remains. Thankfully however, when you save the images to your built-in Photos app, you are able to use regular zoom gestures.

Again, the best feature of thid app is the high quality images and great color. On this app you can clearly see Van Gogh's brush strokes while on other Van Gogh apps youi cannot and the color is horrible. I hope that the developer soon fixes the clock issure, adds standard zoom, and add more images please. Fix those things and this would be hands-down the best Van Gogh painting app. Right now, I don't think I would recommend buying it.
