Welcome to the Navajo Code Talkers Application!

Welcome to the Navajo Code Talkers Application!

This is the ultimate secret code dictionary of the Navajo language used by the Navajo Code Talkers in World War II. "Navajo Code Talkers" is a iPhone and iPad mobile device application that contains many basic Navajo words that were used by the Navajo Code Talkers to transmit unbreakable coded messages. At a touch of a finger, you can easily find Navajo words by searching the English word counterpart. As an enrolled member of the Navajo Tribe, I am providing most of the Navajo words that were released by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) years after the end of World War II. As such, the Navajo words provided in this application are authentic as provided by the USMC data.

Data includes:

-Introduction - Navajo code talkers summary
-English word
-Navajo word
-Group Type
-Literal Translation
-Sound file

Search Features:

-Search All Words with sound
-Search By Group with sound

As a user friendly option, the "Navajo Codes Talkers" application provides sound files. The sound files of 51 Navajo military words will enable the user to hear the military words being spoken in the Navajo coded language.

The application goal, as an educational tool, is to provide an account of Navajo coded words to anyone interested in learning the secret code used by the Navajo World War II heroes, the Navajo Code Talkers.

Great Educational App!

I have always admired the Navajo Code Talkers. They are Navajo heroes and have my utmost respect. I love this app. It allows me to hear and understand the code used in the war. A very recommended App!

Code Talkers were Marines

WWII USMC Navajo Code Talkers were from the United States Marine Corps, not The US Army (Soldiers). The US Army passed over the idea of the concept & in the new update 05/22, the intro page appears frozen & the code talkers were referred to as soldiers. Much like how calling your children by another’s name, same can be said of the military branches but nonetheless, had it not been for these exemplary Marines who knows how much longer the war would’ve gone on or which way it could’ve gone. These heroes not only earned the respect due to them, they’ve earned their place in history.

A great app for our Navajo heros!

I always wanted to learn more about the Navajo Code Talkers and this app provides the code used in WW2. Each Navajo code can be heard by a traditional Navajo speaker. This is an amazing educational tool for everyone!
